WASHINGTON, DC: Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga) doubled down on the unfounded narrative of a stolen 2020 election in a video clip that she shared over social media platform X on Sunday, June 16.

She further defended the right of American citizens to protest the result of elections and claimed that she was "proud to object" to incumbent Joe Biden's electoral college votes, as she was sure of former President Donald Trump being the actual winner in the previous general election.

In the clip uploaded by the Congresswoman, she is seen speaking at a conservative event, saying, "I was a newly elected member of Congress when they (Democrats) stole President Trump's election. And heading into Washington DC, I thought I can't believe - I am from Georgia, and I knew Georgia voted for Donald John Trump. I knew it."

She shared reaching out to some of her fellow members of the House GOP, before finding out "that as a member of Congress, I can object to electoral college vote."

"And so I organized many of my colleagues, ... called Senators and asked them to object with us on January 6. I worked diligently on that and I am very proud of it. I am proud that I objected to Joe Biden's electoral college votes on January 6. And then I was shocked, absolutely shocked, at what happened that day."

She mentioned the election protests, and continued, "American citizens own the elections. American citizens pay for the elections... And American citizens have a god-given right by our constitution to have a free and fair election. And you (citizens) have the right to bring your grievances before your government... The American people empower the government. So if you don't feel good about the election, there is nothing wrong with protesting it."

"There was nothing wrong with protesting the election on January 6, and if any Democrat, and any person from the mainstream media, and anyone that wants to continue to shame us for January 6 can go to hell," she added.

Internet slams Marjorie Taylor Greene

"Cry harder. Trump LOST," a user responded to MTG's post on X.

"Y’all did a little more than 'protest,'" reminded another, sharing a clip from the Capitol riot on January 6.

"Marjorie Taylor Greene was elected on the same ballot as Donald Trump but somehow her's was legitimate but his was fraudulent," mocked a third.

"You’re going there first, Marge," stated a fourth, referring to Greene's remarks about going to hell.

"Bleach blonde bad built butch body is having a mental breakdown," jibed a fifth.
