Mark Cuban avoids comment on politics as he’s asked about Kamala Harris endorsement at Trump meeting
WASHINGTON, DC: Billionaire entrepreneur Mark Cuban refused to revisit his support for former Vice President Kamala Harris after appearing alongside President Donald Trump at a White House event promoting cheaper prescription d**gs.
Cuban stood just feet away from Trump as the President unveiled TrumpRx.gov, a federal initiative designed to lower medication costs by offering discounted d**gs directly to Americans. Trump announced that 600 low-cost generic medications would now be available through the platform.
The partnership ropes in Cuban’s pharmaceutical venture, Mark Cuban Cost Plus D**gs, which sells medications at cost with a 15 percent markup, a fixed $5 pharmacy fee, and an additional $5 shipping charge. Other companies involved in the effort include GoodRx and Amazon.
The unusual sight of Cuban and Trump sharing a stage wasn’t lost on reporters. One journalist pointed out it was “remarkable” to see the billionaire entrepreneur standing beside a man he once publicly criticized, especially after endorsing Harris during her presidential campaign.
Trump joked, “Well, he made a mistake. It was a big mistake,” drawing laughter from the room, including from Cuban himself.

Mark Cuban keeps focus on d**g prices
After the press conference wrapped, reporters pressed Cuban on whether he regretted backing Harris.
“I’m not going into my politics at all,” Cuban replied.
Q: Do you regret supporting former Vice President Kamala Harris?

He also sidestepped questions about whether escalating tensions involving Iran could disrupt global supply chains and potentially impact medication prices.
“I do not know enough about the details,” Cuban said, adding he “couldn’t even give you a good answer” unless “they give me top secret clearance.”
Still, Cuban made it clear he viewed the TrumpRx partnership as bigger than party politics.
“Democrats want cheaper medications, too,” he said when asked what message he had for Democrats surprised to see him at Trump’s White House. “When all is said and done, the goal is the goal. How do we make medications and healthcare cheaper? That’s all I care about.”
At another point, a reporter asked whether more Americans should start viewing Trump’s policies through “a nonpartisan lens.”
Cuban responded by steering attention back toward healthcare costs and both websites involved in the partnership.
“The way I always look at politics and any politician is, the only thing I care about is can they reduce the stress of the American people?” Cuban said. “All the politics increases stress. This, TrumpRx, and Cost Plus D**gs working together, is one step toward reducing your stress. To me, that’s the ultimate goal.”
I asked @mcuban - who some have speculated might run for president - if he’s considering that while he was outside the White House this evening.

TrumpRx expands amid skepticism
The Trump administration first rolled out TrumpRx in February with 43 branded prescription medications. The site has since expanded and now separates medications into two categories: “Presidential Deals” for branded d**gs and “Standard Prices” for generic medications. Several of the branded medications already have generic alternatives available elsewhere.
Cuban enthusiastically backed the initiative during the White House appearance.
“I think other than you, I’ve been the biggest proponent of TrumpRx.com and the reason for that is Republicans want cheaper d**gs, independents want cheaper d**gs, Democrats want cheaper d**gs and together I think we’re going to do something special,” Cuban said, mistakenly calling it “TrumpRx.com” instead of “TrumpRx.gov.”
Not everyone is sold on how much of a dent the platform will make. Analysts have questioned whether TrumpRx will significantly help people who already have health insurance coverage, though some medications for in vitro fertilization and weight loss are often not fully covered by many plans.
Still, administration officials framed the rollout as a major affordability push.
“This is yet another example of this administration and president’s leadership making life more affordable, and it’s in a particularly important arena, because almost one in three Americans, when they go to a d**gstore, cannot afford to pick up the medications that their doctor prescribed for them,” said Mehmet Oz, director of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
