ORLANDO, FLORIDA: Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene released a memoir in late 2023 titled ‘MTG’ and scheduled a book signing for the same in Kissimmee, Florida on January 6.

However, before the event, Greene shared an article by The Hill that claimed the event was canceled, but a video posted hours before that made some clarifications on the same.

Posting the video on X, Greene made sure that people were aware that her book signing, taking place on the third anniversary of the January 6 Capitol Attack, was still on but had been moved to Orlando instead. Greene also received support from Congressman Matt Gaetz and Donald Trump Jr on the social media platform.

Marjorie Taylor Greene says ‘they failed’

On X, Marjorie Taylor Greene shared a video of herself and wrote, “The Communist Democrats tried to shut down my book signing. They lost! I’ll be in Orlando, FL tomorrow night at a new venue to sign copies of my brand-new book MTG. See you there!!”

In the video, Greene stated, “Hi guys, I just wanted to come on and give you all a quick message. You may have seen it in the news today because the Democrats are loving it and the left-leaning media are all about it. Twisting and lying about the story but I am so excited to announce that they couldn’t cancel my book signing tomorrow on January 6 and this has been absolutely outrageous, you know?”

She added, “The Democrats want to do anything to cancel everything I say, cancel the words you speak because they hate free speech.” Greene also claimed in the video that the Democrats are “destroying democracy by attacking our First Amendment.”

She also promoted her book as she claimed, “If you wanna stand up against them, here’s a way you can really make them angry: order my book.”

In another tweet, Greene shared an article by The Hill that focused on her canceled event at Kissimmee and wrote, “The Democrat Cancel Communists tried to censor my freedom of speech — AGAIN! But they failed. My event is still happening! I can’t wait to see everyone in Orlando, FL TONIGHT.”

The Hill article claimed that the venue at Kissimmee, Westgate Resort, canceled the event and claimed that it had not been “made aware” of its purpose. However, Greene repeatedly asserted that the venue had simply been changed and the event was still on.

Donald Trump Jr and Matt Gaetz weigh in on book signing being canceled

As Marjorie Taylor Greene stirred up the internet because of the venue change for her book signing from Kissimmee to Orlando after the original venue canceled the event, she received support from Donald Trump Jr and Matt Gaetz.

Trump Jr wrote on X, “We won’t be intimidated by the cancel culture! MTG will be in Orlando today. Get a copy of the book the left doesn’t want you to read! http://MTGBook.com.”

He also shared an article from the New York Times about the event, “Florida Venue Cancels Marjorie Taylor Greene’s Book-Signing on Jan. 6 - The New York Times.”

Matt Gaetz wrote, “This cancel BS is absurd. @mtgreenee is a powerful voice in American Politics and Floridians deserve the right to hear what she has to say if they choose. I stand with MTG and I’m proud to see the #WinningTeam fighting back!” He shared a link to the same article from The New York Times.

Later, Greene also shared a picture of herself at the book signing in Orlando and wrote, “The Commies in Florida tried to cancel my book signings. They failed! It’s great to be here! @WinningTeamPub Get the book the Democrats fear the most: http://MTGBOOK.COM.”
