Matthew Croley, Jayna Vorwerk: Two charged with murder after killing juvenile and injuring 4 in DUI crash

WHITLEY COUNTY, KENTUCKY: Whitley County 911 received a report of an injury collision involving two vehicles on interstate I-75 southbound around the 17-mile marker in Whitley County shortly after midnight on Thursday, February 1.
This information was forwarded to the Kentucky State Police, London Post.
A juvenile died as a consequence of the collision leaving four other passengers with life-threatening injuries.
Driver and three young passengers suffered serious injuries
The 2017 white Ford Edge driven by Matthew P Croley L Allen, 33, of Williamsburg, KY, or Jayna Ann Vorwerk, 22, of Chandler, AZ, was heading south on Interstate I-75 when it collided with a 1996 maroon GEO Tracker driven by Alexis Brianna L Flores, 25, of Flat Lick, KY.
The information comes from the preliminary investigation. There were no injuries to the Ford Edge's rear passenger, as reported by WYMT.
The GEO Tracker operator was trapped inside the car, but they managed to free themselves and were transported by Air Evac to the University of Tennessee Hospital, with serious injuries.
Whitley County EMS transported three of her young passengers to Baptist Health Hospital in Corbin for non-life-threatening injuries.
The Whitley County Coroner's Office on the scene declared another young passenger dead after they were ejected from the car and suffered fatal injuries. Alcohol was one contributing factor to the accident.
Charges against Matthew P Croley and Jayna A Vorwerk
WCLU Radio's report stated that Matthew P Croley and Jayna A Vorwerk are both charged with numerous offenses, namely, murder, first-round motor vehicle endangering, first-assault and operating motor vehicle under the influence.
The investigation is being led by KSP Post 11's first trooper, Corey Jones.
He was helped at the scene by personnel from Whitley County EMS, Air Evac, Williamsburg Fire Department, Corbin Fire Department, Gold Bug Fire Department, Post 11, and the Whitley County Coroner's Office.
He was also helped by the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement division of the Kentucky State Police.
