WASHINGTON, DC: Arizona senate hopeful Kari Lake's low polling behind her Democratic rival prompted a mocking remark from Meghan McCain, the daughter of former Sen John McCain.

The former host of 'The View' made her response to an X (formerly Twitter) post by HuffPost's Yashar Ali about the Donald Trump ally's poor performance in polling.

"A new Fox News poll reveals that Arizona Democratic Congressman Ruben Gallego is leading Republican Kari Lake by a whopping 15 points. Ruben Gallego: 56% Kari Lake: 41%," Ali wrote.

In response, Meghan wrote, "It's almost like Kari may have needed some McCain republicans after all…" according to Raw Story.

Rivalry between Meghan McCain and Kari Lake

Meghan McCain's rivalry with Kari Lake began during the latter's 2022 Arizona gubernatorial race. At a campaign event at the time, Lake told the late senator John McCain's supporters to "get the hell out."

Meghan dismissed the Arizona Republican's attempt to apologize in February. The former conservative commentator said, "Kari Lake is trying to walk back her continued attacks on my Dad (& family) and all of his loyal supporters after telling them to 'get the hell out.' Guess she realized she can't become a Senator without us."

"No peace, b***h. We see you for who you are - and are repulsed by it," she added.

Ruben Gallego is ahead of Kari Lake by 15 points

Karo Lake, who kicked off her Senate race with Donald Trump's endorsement, is trailing behind her Democratic opponent, Rep Ruben Gallego, by 15 points, according to the latest Fox News poll. The candidates are running for the Senate seat of outgoing Senator Kyrsten Sinema in the Grand Canyon State.

In the Fox News survey released on Wednesday, August 28, Lake stood with 41% support, whereas Gallego secured 56%.

The low polling rate of the failed gubernatorial candidate came two days after the pro-TrumpArizona Police Association (APA) endorsed the Democrat over Lake, saying, "Gallego has continually fought for robust, increased funding for America's Law Enforcement, and specifically Arizona Law Enforcement."

Internet mocks Kari Lake as Meghan McCain roasts her

Netizens commented under the Raw Story report joined Meghan McCain in mocking Kari Lake, who is being smoked by Gallego in the polls. Some roasted her confidence to continue in the race despite losing the gubernatorial election two years ago.

"It’s not all bad news for Skari. Just think of all the free time she’ll have to squat at Mar-a-Lago with the other loser come November," a social media user said.

"She can become a permanent resident at Mar a Lardo while Trump is in prison after they both lose BIGLY!" another added.

"How many times will Kari and Donald keep trying and losing? The mind boggles," read a third response.

"Lake copied the blueprint of a proven loser and now they’re both headed straight to the trash bin in November," remarked a fourth user.

"Soft Focused Kari Lake is going to spend the next five years complaining that there were fraudulent votes and she was robbed yet again," someone else chimed in.

"It’s going to be a joy watching Latino Senate Candidate, Ruben Gallego, drain the Kari Lake swamp," an individual wrote.

"With polling like that I’m surprised that lake doesn’t pull a Hari Kari," another user said.
