WASHINGTON, DC: Political commentator Megyn Kelly couldn’t contain her laughter as she watched Robert F Kennedy Jr face intense questioning during his Senate confirmation hearing for the position of Secretary of Health and Human Services.

The heated exchange occurred on January 30, Thursday, during a Senate vetting process where Kennedy, a prominent anti-vaccine activist, was grilled by lawmakers about his conflicting public statements throughout his political career.

The questioning became particularly tense when Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders confronted Robert F Kennedy Jr about his support for anti-vaccine messaging on children’s clothing sold by his anti-vaccine nonprofit.

"Are you supportive of these onesies?" Sanders demanded, referring to clothing emblazoned with anti-vaccine messages that were being sold by Kennedy's organization.

Kennedy, laughing nervously, responded, “I am supportive of vaccines; I want good science.”

As the back-and-forth continued, Kelly was seen giggling in the background, clearly amused by the absurdity of the situation.

The tense exchange between Sanders and Kennedy highlighted the controversy surrounding Kennedy Jr’s stance on vaccines and his recent shift toward supporting vaccination.

Sanders also pressed Kennedy on whether he would remove the anti-vaccine onesies from the market now that he had seemingly changed his position. Kennedy claimed he had no control over the sale of the items.

Kelly, before Kennedy's hearing, commented on the situation during an appearance on 'The Megyn Kelly Show', where she revealed that she would be attending the confirmation hearing specifically to see how the Senate would handle Kennedy Jr.

"I would like to take a peek at what they do to Robert F Kennedy Jr," Kelly said.

She also credited her own show for helping to revitalize Kennedy Jr’s political career. “He probably wouldn't be there this week if it wasn't for the four hours we did with him in March 2022, when no one would touch him,” Kelly explained, as per Irish Star.

“He was officially on the disinformation dozen list being pushed by the White House. We found a way to get that four-hour interview on all platforms, even the ones which he'd been banned. He will tell you that was the beginning of his road back to being sort of acceptable," she said.
