LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Megyn Kelly, the renowned former Fox News host, has revealed why she ultimately supported President Donald Trump despite his past crude remarks about her.

In a shocking confession on 'The Stephen A Smith Show' this week, Kelly opened up about the surprising shift in her stance toward Trump, even after he publicly berated her following their infamous clash in the 2015 Republican debate.

During that debate, Kelly questioned Trump about his history of insulting women, prompting the now-infamous remark from Trump, who told CNN's Don Lemon that Kelly had "blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her... wherever."

Megyn Kelly opens up about being Donald Trump supporter

Megyn Kelly has revealed why she ultimately supported President Donald Trump despite his past crude remarks about her. In a candid interview on 'The Stephen A Smith Show', Kelly shared the surprising story behind her change of heart after being pressed about backing someone who had publicly criticized her.

In a video of their conversation making the rounds online, Smith began by referencing Trump's treatment of Kelly during the 2015 Republican primary debate.

"He felt that your question was nasty because you brought up quotes that he had said about women in the past, calling them pigs amongst other things. And all of a sudden he goes on the air and said that you were bleeding out of your eyes or wherever it was or whatever," Smith recalled.

Smith then posed a direct question. "How could you support somebody that would talk about you that way?"

Kelly explained that her shift in perspective was a gradual one, not a sudden change, as per the Daily Mail.

Reflecting on the nine months of attacks she endured, Kelly admitted she was not a fan of Trump and had no intention of supporting him at the time.

"It was highly unpleasant," she said. "But over time, I was able, and I'm actually proud of it, I was able to check my personal feelings about the guy and start getting back to what needs to be my focus as a journalist, which is the professional relationship with the guy."

Kelly ultimately came to admire Trump's governing style and policies, particularly his stance on issues like border control, gender issues, and his opposition to what she described as "gender madness" in schools.

She also criticized the "disastrous" four years under former president Joe Biden.

She explained, "Professionally, I fell in love with Trump, the president, because I believed him that he would close the border. You know, I believed that he would fight back against the gender madness, which has become a very big issue for me, for many of us. You know, I believed in that he was gonna try to get DEI out of our colleges and our woke schools."

Kelly proudly declared that she now fully supports Trump, saying, "[I'm] 100 percent rooting [for him]" and is "thrilled" to have seen the light on his leadership.
