REFORM, ALABAMA: A Black Alabama man, Micah Washington, who was tasered and arrested by a White police officer for alleged fentanyl trafficking, is now recounting his harrowing experience.

On Saturday, December 2, Officer Dana Elmore was captured on camera swearing and deploying a stun gun on the handcuffed 24-year-old.

Washington reportedly faced a trafficking fentanyl charge and a $500,000 bond, but both were dropped after subsequent testing revealed the substance in his possession was not the opioid drug.

Washington revealed what had happened during the incident and explained that he had never had a run-in or issue with the police before, in an interview with ABC.

He said recalling the tragic ordeal, "I tried to act okay, but I was really traumatized. I didn't know how to feel about the police now."

He told the channel that he and his brother were changing a flat tire on the side of the road near his aunt's home when Elmore approached and asked to see his ID.

By then, Washington reportedly began to ask what was wrong and why he had to show his ID while complying with her order. He said. "I was respectful, saying yes ma'am, no ma'am."

He continued, "She asked me to go stand in the back of the car, but I was like I'm not being detained, and I don't have to do anything. She grabbed me, and I was standing between the back door and the driver's door, trying to turn my camera on and record her, but she tased me for the first time and put her foot on my back after I fell."

As soon as Washington fell, his brother, Shikeem Washington, reportedly began to record the video, and at his request, his friend went to get the victim's aunt.

After Elmore ordered him to get up, Washington claimed he walked to the car in handcuffs and told her that he had a gun in his pocket, which he was legally carrying.

The officer, who reportedly laughed, grabbed the gun that was in his pocket before saying, "Oh yeah," and deployed the stun gun once again into his back.

In a video that is now viral, Officer Elmore is heard screaming, "Shut the f**k up." Washington whimpered and cried as he repeatedly said in pain, "Oh my God."

Elmore can be heard asking, "Do you want it again?" He cried as she said, "Shut your b***h a** up."

Washington said he was more concerned something would happen to his brother than himself. "I just wanted justice, honestly, for her to get what's coming to her on the legal side," he said.

Washington believed that he would still be in jail if his brother had not recorded a video.

What are the charges placed on Micah Washington?

Washington clarified in the interview that there were no drugs involved in his entire arrest, and he did not learn about his fentanyl charge until he was brought to court.

Once arrested, Washington was reportedly charged with obstructing governmental operations, resisting arrest, marijuana possession, and being an ex-felon in possession of a firearm.

His attorney, Leroy Maxwell, claimed all the charges should be dismissed as this was not a legal arrest.

Maxwell, who is planning to file a $20 million lawsuit said, "I was heartbroken to see a young man like that. When he started crying, it broke everyone's heart to see the pain and torture he was going through and how she seemed to be enjoying it," as per Daily Mail.

He added, "It's not illegal to be black and changing a tire. I understand complying with a police officer, and ultimately he did comply. But he still ended up arrested and tased."

What happened to Officer Dana Elmore?

Elmore, who is from the Reform Police Department in Pickens County, was reportedly placed on leave following the incident.

Reform Police Chief Richard Black and Mayor Melody Davis acknowledged their awareness of the video, describing it as a 'citizen's arrest' that occurred on Saturday.

In a statement, they stated, "The Reform Police Department is aware of a video circulating involving a citizen's arrest on December 2. The department is in the process of turning over all materials related to this arrest to the Alabama State Bureau of Investigation and has requested a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the arrest."

The statement further read, "In accordance with City Policy, the officer involved has been placed on administrative leave while the investigation is conducted."

However, on December 4, a rally was organized outside the Reform Municipal Building to protest Elmore's reaction.
