CHICAGO, ILLINOIS: Former first lady Michelle Obama roasted GOP Presidential nominee Donald Trump during her Democratic National Convention (DNC) speech on Tuesday, August 20, as she claimed the ex-POTUS is currently seeking 'one of those Black jobs.'

The DNC’s second night showcased messages from Barack and Michelle Obama where they validated Vice President Kamala Harris and delivered an unsparing indictment of Trump, according to Axios.

Michelle Obama said during her speech that for years, Trump "did everything in his power to try to make people fear us, see his limited, narrow view of the world, made him feel threatened by the existence of two hard-working and highly educated, successful people who happen to be Black."

She added, "Who's going to tell him that the job he's currently seeking might just be one of those Black jobs?"

Notably, Trump was criticized for claiming during his June debate with President Joe Biden that immigrants are taking 'Black jobs' and 'Hispanic jobs.'

Moreover, he doubled down on his 'Black jobs' claim during an interview at the National Association of Black Journalists' (NABJ) annual convention in July where he was asked to define a Black job.

He said, "A Black job is anybody that has a job. That's what it is."

Michelle added during her speech that there's 'something magical in the air' and 'it's spreading all across this country.'

She said, "A familiar feeling that's been buried too deep for far too long. You know what I'm talking about. The contagious power of hope, the anticipation, the energy, the exhilaration of once again being on the cusp of a brighter day, the chance to vanquish the demons of fear, division, and hate that have consumed us and continue pursuing the unfinished promise of this great nation."

Michelle Obama calls Kamala Harris 'most qualified people to run for president'

During the speech, Michelle Obama praised Kamala Harris and said, "Kamala Harris is more than ready for this moment. She is one of the most qualified people ever to seek the office of the presidency. And, she is one of the most dignified, a tribute to her mother, to my mother and to your mother, too."
