LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The mother of the woman from Los Angeles who crashed her car at 100mph after killing her husband and baby before dying herself, said that her daughter was fighting many problems.

Danielle Johnson, 34, hurt her Air Force veteran partner Jaelen Allen Chaney, 29, and their eight-month-old baby in their home in Woodland Hills, California on April 8.

Then, she left with her two daughters in the car. She made them get out on the 405 Freeway.

Another car hit and killed the baby, but her nine-year-old daughter got to the side of the road and called for help.

What did Danielle Johnson’s mother say about her mental health?

According to DailyMail, Danielle Johnson's mother Sharonda Cole said that her daughter was having a hard time with her mental health, feeling very low, and dealing with postpartum depression.

Johnson posted strange things on social media, talking about a big disaster coming and the solar eclipse causing a huge spiritual fight.

When Cole heard her daughter had died and killed her partner and their baby, it was really hard for her. She said, "I lost it. My heart was pouring out."

Johnson reportedly called herself a "reiki master teacher" and talked about healing in a different way on her website. She said she had special powers from her family's history.

Johnson was popular on Etsy and social media, where she gave astrology advice and sold things for magic rituals with candles.

But her mother said she was having a really tough time with her mental health. Cole tried to get her to see a healer or talk to someone about it.

Johnson shared worrying posts on her social media just before the bad things happened. She said things like, "Wake up, wake up. The apocalypse is here. Everyone who has ears listen. Your time to choose what you believe is now. If you believe a new world is possible for the people retweet now. There is power in choice. There is power in choice!!!!'"

Cole had Johnson when she was young and they lived with Cole's aunt and uncle. She had a hard time growing up, especially when her mother struggled with drugs.

Cole tried hard to get better, but it was tough fixing things with her daughter, especially when Johnson started doing reiki.

Johnson reportedly talked to her mother about how tough her life was and how sad she felt after having her baby in 2015.

She wrote about children who don't get love from their parents properly in a blog post about "toxic nurturing". She said they might grow up wanting to give love to others but not to themselves.

Cole thinks her daughter understood this but didn't try to fix her own problems. Instead, she blamed her mother and didn't forgive her, which made her pain worse.

What did the Investigators report?

Investigators said Jaelen Allen Chaney and Danielle Johnson were arguing around 3:40 am. Then things got turned up when Johnson stabbed Chaney.

A neighbor found Chaney in their apartment when they saw blood coming out from under the door.

The LAPD found the knife Johnson used to fatally stab Chaney at their home.

Then, she left the apartment with her daughters. Later, people saw her car on the 405 Freeway. They saw her push the baby and the nine-year-old out of the car, said the LAPD.

Johnson drove over 100 mph to Redondo Beach, crashed her car into a tree, and died.

Chaney's brother, Matthew Chiricas, reported that Chaney treated Johnson's older child, who wasn't his, like his own.

"I never seen him like kids, but I know he absolutely adored her," Chiricas said.

Chaney was a kind and outgoing person with a big smile. His friends said he was funny and popular.

Cole said, "He just wanted to love her. He wanted to love her the way she said she needed to be loved."
