LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: During a recent segment on MSNBC's 'Morning Joe', host Joe Scarborough voiced skepticism about Donald Trump's willingness to engage in a policy-focused debate with President Joe Biden.

The show's team analyzed the results of Super Tuesday, highlighting the impending rematch between the ex-POTUS and the incumbent in the November general election.

Joe Scarborough highlights how Donald Trump fails to answer questions on politics

According to Mediate, expressing disappointment in Trump's perceived avoidance of substantive discussions, Scarborough suggested a scenario where both candidates discuss policy without resorting to shouting or hurling insults.

"It’s a damn shame that Donald Trump won’t submit to this 'cause he’s such a coward when it comes to politics. But it would be great to have Joe Biden right there, Donald Trump right there, around any table and say, 'There’s no shouting, there’s no this, there’s no insults. We’re going to ask you about policy'," said Scarborough.

He added, "You ask him what’s happening in Sudan, he’s going to take you through it and what the United States should do, what his administration’s doing. You ask him about what’s happening in the Ukraine, he’s gonna give you about five different angles looking at it. I’m serious. Donald Trump? He’ll tell you, 'I would end the war tomorrow.'"

Scarborough highlighted Biden's depth of knowledge on various global issues, contrasting it with what he sees as Trump's limited understanding. He emphasized the ex-POTUS' tendency to provide simplistic answers without a nuanced comprehension of complex topics, branding the situation as "maddening."

Joe Scarborough says Donald Trump and Joe Biden can't be compared

Scarborough went on to assert that Trump's lack of understanding of real issues is a significant drawback, stating, "He’s never made it his business to understand anything. There is no comparison between Donald Trump and Joe Biden when it comes to knowing the facts you need to know to be president of the United States. None."

Noting that neither Biden nor Trump engaged in debates during the primaries, Scarborough expressed frustration with Trump's purported lack of interest in substantive policy discussions.

After his Super Tuesday victory, the ex-POTUS, who didn't participate in any of the GOP primary debates, took to Truth Social to declare his willingness to debate Biden, writing, "It is important, for the Good of our Country, that Joe Biden and I Debate Issues that are so vital to America, and the American People."

He added, "Therefore, I am calling for Debates, ANYTIME, ANYWHERE, ANYPLACE! The Debates can be run by the Corrupt DNC, or their Subsidiary, the Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD). I look forward to receiving a response. Thank you for your attention to this matter!"
