NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Despite Nikki Haley's persistence in the GOP primary race, the panel on MSNBC's 'Morning Joe' concurred on February 28 that she's already "obviously looking forward ahead to 2028."

Co-host Joe Scarborough remarked that if the GOP aims to "unify the party" and secure victory in the election, having Haley involved in the administration would be a wise decision.

Morning Joe humorously discusses Nikki Haley's efforts

"That’s not Donald Trump’s character," remarked Politico's deputy managing editor Sam Stein, adding, "expanding the coalition."

Scarborough humorously remarked, "Yes, It’s called winning. He can’t do it... He’s not being nice, he’s not being magnanimous."

He then called on both the audience and the panel to "acknowledge Nikki Haley's efforts." "Haley is taking the incoming from Donald Trump, as Barack Obama would," Scarborough elaborated.

“She’s going state-by-state. This is something Marco Rubio was too much of a coward to do, this is something Rand Paul was too much of a coward to do,” he further added.

“Nikki Haley is keeping her head down and saying, I’m going to keep going, I’m going to keep going harder at him and let’s see what happens,” remarked the co-host. “Donald Trump hasn’t had to deal with that yet in his political career.”

Elisabeth Bumiller, the assistant managing editor at The New York Times, observed that Trump is “not taking it well.”

'Donald Trump, Nikki Haley winning almost 300,000 votes in the state of Michigan, taking them away in the Republican Party from Donald Trump,' said Joe Scarborough (@msnbc/Youtube)

"She’s really tough, tougher than the men have been so far," Bumiller remarked. "She has enough money to go for some time at least."

Although the outlook for Haley in this election seems bleak, “Clearly she’s eyeing 2028,” Bumiller remarked.

Bumiller also highlighted the recent South Carolina primary, where Trump was expected to win by a margin of 30 points but only managed a 20-point victory.

“So many of Nikki Haley’s voters said they would never vote for Donald Trump, like 60%,” Bumiller said, continuing, “So that again, bug warning sign for him."

Scarborough's remarks spark social media commentary

When Scarborough made his remarks, viewers swiftly took to social media platforms to express a wide array of reactions.

One viewer remarked, "Women always get under Trump's skin."

'Clearly, this shows Trump is more appealing' (@msnbc/Youtube)

"Clearly, this shows Trump is more appealing to the uneducated and less to those who are," observed another.

"Trump just keeps digging a hole and climbing down into it. How low can he go? It is almost bottomless," remarked another viewer.

In a humorous tone, another individual said, "In the end Haley will endorse Trump and campaign for him."

"Trump literally has no idea what the definition is or a debate even is, debating someone who will endlessly interpret every single question and someone who will literally lie 99.5% of the time is insanely illogical and pointless as could be," commented another viewer.
