NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: GOP Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene called for the immediate resignation of Georgia Republican Party's first vice chairman Brian Pritchard for committing voter fraud, in a tweet on Thursday, March 28.

According to USA Today, Pritchard was found guilty by Judge Lisa Boggs of illegally voting nine times over several years, while being on probation for forgery and other felonies.

Boggs found Prtchard's explanations neither "credible or convincing," and sentenced him to pay a $5,000 fine and $375.14 in investigative costs incurred by the court. The official was also ordered to “be publicly reprimanded for his conduct” by the State Election Board, which sought sanctions against him.

Taking to the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), the US Representative for Georgia shared the ruling against Pritchard, writing, "The First Vice Chairman of the Georgia Republican Party, Brian Pritchard, voted ILLEGALLY nine times while serving out his probation for FELONY check forgery."

"Brian Pritchard must resign immediately," she continued. "The Republican Party is the party of election integrity. And after the 2020 election, which was stolen in Georgia through rampant voter fraud, our state party should be the leading voice on securing our elections."

"At a time when the Georgia Republican Party is successfully building its effort to protect our state from a total Democrat takeover, it is unacceptable for our party to have a man in leadership who has repeatedly committed voter fraud himself. Brian Pritchard must resign immediately or be removed from office," concluded Greene.

Internet reacts to Marjorie Taylor Greene's tweet

Netizens trolled the Republican Party in response to Marjorie Taylor Greene's post, as the following tweets demonstrate.

"The party of election integrity is also committing voter fraud. Interesting how that works," wrote a user.

"Finally I agree with you on something. Republicans are mighty hypocritical on election integrity," stated another.

"The only fraud was committed by the GOP - I have a hard time believing that you care about voter fraud when it is benefitting you. He must have done something that pissed you off personally. If Trump lost due to voter fraud , why didn’t you lose as well?" jibed a user.

"The Republicans have never been the party of Election Integrity 😂😂 are you freaking kidding Marj?" chided another user.

"Well, you finally found that Georgia election fraud that you've been complaining about for years. Of course it's from a member of your own party," commented one user.

"It seems to me that whenever they find election fraud it’s a Republican," noted one user.
