LAKE HAVASU CITY, ARIZONA: TV personality Brandon Sheets is grieving the loss of his father, Darrell Sheets, one week after the 'Storage Wars' star’s sudden death, sharing emotional tributes that reflect his deep sorrow and admiration.
Sheets, widely known as “The Gambler,” died at the age of 67 in what authorities have described as an apparent self-inflicted death, with his passing also drawing renewed attention to troubling claims he had made prior to his death.

Brandon publicly mourned his father through a heartfelt Instagram post, expressing the depth of his grief and his commitment to honoring Sheets’ legacy. “My heart is so broken… I love you Dad,” he wrote, adding that he would “do my best to live in your honor and respect our Family.”
He urged others to continue cherishing memories and preserving the legacy of “Darrell (The Gambler) Sheets.” Brandon also acknowledged that he was unable to respond to all messages, stating that time was needed “to process and remember all the good” his father represented.
He described the love people had for Darrell as only “a small portion of who he truly is.” In a separate post, he shared a collage of family memories, captioning it, “Missing you hard today Dad,” further illustrating his ongoing grief.
Tributes extended beyond the family, with fellow 'Storage Wars' personality Brandi Passante offering condolences. She wrote that she was “truly so sorry for the incredibly painful loss,” sending support to Brandon and his family during this period.
She further said, "I would like to say to everyone, if you are struggling, if you feel hopeless or like no one cares. I assure you they do!! You are not alone. Please reach out for help. You are not taking your pain away, you are transferring it to someone else."
Brandon had appeared alongside his father on the 'Storage Wars' series from 2010 to 2016, where the duo became well-known figures among viewers.
Darrell Sheets death under investigation amid cyberbullying claims
According to authorities, he died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials also confirmed that his body was transferred to the Mohave County Medical Examiner’s Office for further investigation.
Following his death, concerns emerged regarding alleged cyberbullying prior to the incident. Fellow cast member Rene Nezhoda stated that he had been posting about someone “cyberbullying him and tormenting him,” urging law enforcement to examine the matter.
On March 11, Sheets alleged that two individuals had been targeting him online, warning that “if anything happens to [him],” they could be responsible. He further claimed via Facebook, “This has been going on for 3 years and the things he says are very damaging.”
The Lake Havasu City Police Department acknowledged these claims, confirming that they are aware of the allegations and that they form part of the active investigation into Sheets’ death. His ex-wife, Kimber Wuerfel, also paid tribute, reflecting on the impact he had on those around him.
She stated that he brought “moments of laughter, connection, and life,” expressing that memories of him would remain close to her heart.
