WASHINGTON, DC: Joe Biden can’t seem to catch a break when it comes to speculation about his well-being. The President was recently spotted at a White House event with a noticeable bruise on his left hand, which raised eyebrows.

The outgoing president, 82, was hosting a celebration at the White House this week over the confirmation of 235 federal judges during his term. Observers, however, couldn't help but notice a dark purple bruise on the back of Biden’s left hand.

The coin-sized mark looked like it had been dabbed with some makeup and sparked a frenzy of conspiracy theories and debates online.

Joe Biden's bruise sparks various theories

It didn’t take long for people to come up with their own ideas about what caused the bruise. Some thought it might be from an IV or injections, while others had even darker theories.

"Veins in the back of the hand are the easiest to find. They're pumping him with something to get him to January 20. After that, we'll probably see the true deterioration of Joe Biden," one social media theorized on X.

"Looks like he may be getting injected with something," another added.

"Interesting for sure," read a comment.

"...He has been and is still pumped up by drugs just to get him across the finish line," someone else wrote.

But not everyone online was ready to break out the tinfoil hats. A few people had more grounded takes.

“Older folks bruise way easier. I’m in my 60s and am already experiencing it. Not defending him but it is what it is at that age,” one person said.

Another jumped in with a mini science lesson, “Old people often get ‘thin skin,’ or the medical term ‘Senile Purpura.’ My husband has it and if he even brushes against something, it will tear or bruise. NOT a Biden fan, but this doesn’t generally mean anything and isn’t unusual.”

Someone else pointed to Biden’s health history and wrote, “Older people get bruises easily, especially if he is on blood thinners, which he undoubtedly is having had strokes in the past. Very common.”

While everyone was busy dissecting his hand, Biden was actually trying to celebrate a major moment. His administration confirmed 235 federal judges—an impressive number that’ll shape the judiciary for decades.

"I know they'll continue to uphold our nation's founding principles of liberty, justice, equality — and do it for decades to come," Biden said. "These judges will be independent, they'll be fair, and they'll be impartial and respect the rule of law," Biden said. "And most importantly — I never thought I'd be saying this — they'll uphold the Constitution."

Joe Biden's face during New Year's Day attack speech raises concerns

If the bruise wasn’t enough to get people talking, Joe Biden’s appearance during a Camp David speech a day earlier only made things worse. The President was addressing the nation about a tragic New Year’s Day attack that claimed at least 14 lives on New Orleans' famed Bourbon Street, but he seemed a little off.

Viewers noticed what looked like a swollen lip and maybe even a bruise on his chin. Naturally, it was enough to open the floodgates of speculation on social media.

"What the hell is wrong with Biden’s face? The left side of his bottom lip looks swollen and isn’t moving right. His bottom lip is split. His chin is swollen on the left side and maybe bruised there as well," one user asked on X.

"What happened to Biden? His mouth doesn’t look right. It’s like his bottom lip swollen, his left jaw looks bruised and his bottom teeth?" another wondered.

"His teeth didn’t look right on the bottom. It looks like he fell face first, given the marks below his nose and in his bottom lip," someone else offered.

"He probably fell again. We’ve seen it many times on live TV. Imagine behind the camera?" another asked.

This comes on the heels of a bombshell Wall Street Journal report from December 19, which revealed that Biden's aides had to handle a president whose cognitive and physical abilities had noticeably declined.

Even routine tasks reportedly required extra hand-holding. Insiders told the outlet that Biden frequently needed instructions repeated, sometimes for the simplest things, like where to exit a stage.
