WASHINGTON, D.C.: Nancy Pelosi called Donald Trump’s State of the Union address 'lazy' as she sat down for an interview on CNN after the president delivered an over an hour-long speech on February 24 night.

The former Speaker of the House of Representatives mocked Trump for not speaking meaningfully about patriotism but taking 'an hour and a half' to honor veterans.

The Republican leader gave medals to 100-year-old veteran E Royce Williams for his actions on a secret mission during the Korean War and Chief Warrant Officer Eric Slover, who was injured during the capture of Nicolas Maduro in Venezuela.

Nancy Pelosi says Trump has 'nothing to do with' veterans' courage

“It’s one thing to acknowledge patriotism and people getting well and everything when you have absolutely nothing to do with their courage or the rest, but you spend an hour and a half doing it,” Pelosi told CNN anchors Jake Tapper, Dana Bash, Kaitlan Collins, and Kasie Hunt.

She then added, “What is the state of the nation?”

At one point during the interview, the 85-year-old politician also praised Virginia Gov. Abigail Spanberger for her rebuttal to the State of the Union as she said she did a “remarkable job insisting on the truth.”

Abigail Spanberger slammed Trump for offering 'no real solutions'

Spanberger had said at Colonial Williamsburg, “In his speech tonight, the president did what he always does: he lied, he scapegoated, and he distracted, and he offered no real solutions to our nation's pressing challenges, so many of which he is actively making worse.”

The 46-year-old former intelligence officer also mentioned the ICE crackdown and the Epstein files in her speech.

She added, “Our broken immigration system is something to be fixed, not an excuse for unaccountable agents to terrorize our communities. There's the cover-up of the Epstein files, the crypto scams, cozying up to foreign princes for airplanes and billionaires for ballrooms, putting his name and face on buildings all over our nation's capital. This is not what our founders envisioned.”
