LONG ISLAND, NEW YORK: A New York neurosurgeon who shares a name with the disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein has snapped back at Rep Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas), who mistook him for the late convicted financier.

Crockett sparked chaos with her accusation as she inadvertently dragged his name into a political spat and now Dr Jeffrey Epstein says he’s plotting the ideal payback.

In response to the Congresswoman who dragged his name, Jeffrey Epstein, the Long Island neurosurgeon, spoke to the New York Post recently.

“I think that I should contribute money to Jasmine Crockett and then let everybody know that she also took money from Jeffrey Epstein,” Epstein said.

“Until she said something, it was never an issue,” Epstein said when asked if he’s ever been confused for the well-connected sex criminal in the past.

“I say my name and sometimes people will give me a look, or whatever,” he acknowledged.

Handling the Jeffrey Epstein name confusion

Epstein’s response to awkward questions? “I always look at them and say, ‘I don’t understand,’ and I make it like I’m dumb,” he said.

“Listen, that’s my name,” Epstein continued, seemingly annoyed by the fuss over his name.

“If my name was Jeffrey Dahmer when that whole thing came out — do you think that would be a problem?” he added. “Listen, anytime a doppelganger is tied to a less-than-desirable, it’s never a good situation.”

“But it doesn’t matter to me. I couldn’t care less.”

The only thing that bothers the doc about having the name Jeffrey Epstein is “people like you calling me to ask me these questions.”

“Don’t take that the wrong way, but you couldn’t understand that — otherwise it doesn’t bother me in the least.”

Jasmine Crockett mistakes doctor for convicted financier Epstein

This week on the House floor, Crockett boasted that she was “gonna expose it all” after her discovery that “somebody named Jeffrey Epstein” donated to the campaign of former Rep Lee Zeldin (R-NY).

In her remarks, the Texas Democrat suggested that the Manhasset doctor’s April and August 2020 contributions to Zeldin, who is now head of the Environmental Protection Agency, were actually from the convicted trafficker.

But in reality, the $1,000 donations were made months after the financier died in a Manhattan jail cell.

When Democrats questioned Zeldin about why “Jeffrey Epstein” appeared in his filings, he responded, “Yes, Crockett, a physician named Dr Jeffrey Epstein (who is a totally different person than the other Jeffrey Epstein) donated to a prior campaign of mine,” Zeldin wrote.
