LAS VEGAS, NEVADA: A Las Vegas area pastor was fatally shot in his driveway during an alleged dispute with his neighbor as his family, including two children, watched the harrowing incident unfold just a few feet away.

46-year-old Nick Davi, a pastor at Grace Point Church in North Las Vegas, was shot and killed when Joe Junio, 36, confronted the family outside their townhouse in the Courts at Aliante gated community last month, Fox 5 Vegas reports.

Nick Davi was terrorized by Joe Junio for weeks

“Your mind just can’t process that,” Davi’s fellow pastor Ty Neal told the outlet, saying the family has been terrorized for weeks by Junio, and they have left the home and are staying elsewhere. Junio apparently lost her cool when the pastor complained about her to the homeowners association, according to a wrongful death lawsuit filed by Davi’s wife, Sarah.

According to 8NewsNow, the family-of-four was leaving their home for the evening when Junio drove past them and then parked her car and rolled down her window.

“Why don’t you leave us alone? We’ve had enough,” someone shouted at Junio as one of the children began recording the altercation from inside the vehicle. “What’s your problem with us?” Davi reportedly asked before taking a step toward Junio’s car.

Joe Junio shot Nick Davi in the abdomen

Junio shot Davi in the abdomen and turned the gun on Sarah Davi, striking her as well, while the couple’s two children, 12 and 15, watched from inside a nearby car. One of Davi’s children captured the horrific shooting with their phone with a photo of the moment before the fatal shot attached to the lawsuit.

Both Davi and his wife were taken to University Medical Center, where he died of his injuries. Davi was born and raised in Riverhead, NY, and joined the Grace Point Church staff in 2014, the Christian Broadcast Network said.

Joe Junio showed signs of 'escalating threatening behavior' weeks before the shooting

Junio began to show signs of “escalating threatening behavior” weeks before the shooting after Davi reported her to the HOA for violations involving chickens and dogs, a police report obtained by KLAS read. Junio, who was licensed with the Nevada Real Estate Division, was arrested at the scene, FOX 5 Vegas reported.

What charges does Joe Junio face?

Junio has since been charged with open murder with a deadly weapon, attempted murder, battery, child abuse/neglect, and discharging a gun/weapon where a person might be endangered, according to jail records viewed by The Post.

The wrongful death lawsuit, filed on January 19, is asking a jury to award an unspecified amount of damages. While the homeowners association is not listed on the lawsuit, it does acknowledge the HOA knew of the likelihood that Junio would become violent.

“The homeowners association knew or should have known that Defendant would likely perform violent actions against deceased and Plaintiff as a result of on-going association dispute,” according to KVVU-TV. Junio is being held on $300,000 bail at the Clark County Detention Center. She is scheduled for a preliminary court hearing on March 4, 2024.
