Nicola Coughlan calls for peace by urging US to stop sending arms consignment to Israel
MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: Nicola Coughlan, the 'Bridgerton' actor, has called for peace in Israel and Gaza regions by making a bold expression at Times 100 Next Gala red carpet on Wednesday, October 9.
Coughlan, who has been a vocal advocate for 'ceasefire', called for de-escalation including stopping arms consignments to Israel, release of hostages by Hamas taken on October 7, 2023, and aid to in war ravaged Gaza in the Israel bombings.

Nicola Coughlan donned an 'Artists for Ceasefire' pin on the red carpet of the 2024 TIME100 Next Gala in Manhattan, according to Time.
Coughlan, who is Irish, said she wore the pin as a call for President Joe Biden and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer to “stop sending arms to Israel, to release the hostages, and to send aid into Gaza.”
“It's a call for peace. It's a call for everybody to try and find peace within that region,” Coughlan, who has captivated both television and stage by her performances said, according to the publication.

The 'Barbie' actress has been vocal about Israel-Hamas war on social media and even called it a 'genocide.' She wore the pin 'Artists for Ceasefire' to 2024 Emmy and while promoting 'Bridgerton' Season 3'
Back in April, recalled being told she will not get any work over Palestine support.

"You do get told, ‘You won’t get work, you won’t do this,'” she told Teen Vogue at the time.
“But I also think, deep down, if you know that you’re coming from a place of ‘I don’t want any innocent people to suffer,’ then I’m not worried about people’s reactions," Coughlan, whose late father served in the Irish army, said.
Nicola Coughlan wants US to help de-escalate Israel war in Gaza
Nicola Coughlan's pin supporting peace was once again to highlight the situation while also acknowledging the influence that US leadership may wield “help de-escalate tensions” and bring peace in Palestinians and Israel.
“The majority of Palestinians and Israelis want to live in peace, not endure anymore violence. Please help them find the path of peace," she said, as per the publication.
The event happened two days after the first anniversary of Israel-Hamas war on October 7, 2023.
