Who does Barbie Ferreira play in 'Euphoria'?
Barbie Ferreira appeared in 16 episodes of 'Euphoria' from 2019 to 2022, playing the role of Kat Hernandez.
However, as per Variety, she elaborated on her departure from the show, revealing that it was a "mutual decision" to leave, as her storyline had reached its conclusion and that she and showrunner Sam Levinson struggled "to find a continuation" of her character.
Following that, she guest-starred in an episode of 'Robot Chicken' in 2022 and played Nessie in the film 'Nope'.
Currently, she has two films in post-production, 'Faces Of Death' and 'House Of Spoils'.
Ferreira opens up about battling anxiety, depression, and Internet pressures
Four years ago, Ferreira opened up about her struggles with "crippling anxiety," "depression issues, eating issues, paranoias," and other "weird things" she attributed to the internet.
In an interview with Cosmopolitan, she candidly discussed mental health and the pressures and world events that have negatively affected her generation.
"As an elder Gen Z, we’ve gotten our fair share of bad times," she said.
"I mean, my first day of kindergarten was 9/11. We were the guinea pigs of the internet — you’re 11, and the darkness of the entire world is just packed into your computer and you’re scrolling through it. 'That had to do something to my brain," she went on.
Ferreira continued, "I mean, I got crippling anxiety. A lot of depression issues, eating issues, paranoias, and just weird things that I’m one thousand per cent certain are from the internet."
Her deep emotional sensitivity might have actually benefited her career. Barbie attributes her journey into acting to her nature as a deeply "emotional" and "empathetic" child.
She also commented on the increasing hostility in the country, which she believes has led to rising levels of "sadness" and "mental neuroses," especially among younger generations.
Barbie Ferreira faces speculation over possible Ozempic use

While fans praised her captivating photos, some speculated that she might be using Ozempic, a diabetes medication known for its weight loss effects.
One viewer said, "Also she could be diabetic or pre-. Not to be unkind, but at her prior weight it is definitely a possibility. So the Ozempic could actually be keeping her healthy."
