LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Euphoria' actress Chloe Cherry—who has been eagerly awaiting updates on the show like everyone else—recently blasted the showrunners for keeping her in the "dark" on Season 3.

The 26-year-old actress told the Daily Mail on Thursday, June 6, that she has heard "honestly nothing" regarding filming another season amid mounting doubts about the HBO show's future.

Speaking exclusively at the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of Rachel Wolther's film 'The French Italian', Cherry said, "No one talks to me. They really don't talk to me."

She added, "I would definitely go back, but they just leave me in the dark, let's just say that," in response to the question of whether she would want to play her part again.

Cherry's apprehension about the show's third season comes after it was revealed in March that creator Sam Levinson and producers couldn't agree on how to proceed with production.

'Euphoria' actress Nika King made jokes about the series' years-long hiatus

Cherry is not the only 'Euphoria' star who appears to have taken offense at the producers' apparent lack of communication.

During her stand-up comedy routine in March, actress Nika King made jokes about the series' years-long hiatus.

"Season 3 is coming out … I don’t f*****g know," told King — who plays Leslie Bennett, the mom of Zendaya’s character, Rue Bennett — to her audience.

King added, "People are like, ‘We need Season 3.’ I’m like, ‘Bitch, I need Season 3, too!’ I haven’t paid my rent in six months, and Zendaya’s over in Paris at Fashion Week. I’m like, ‘Bitch, come home! I need you. Mama needs you.’"

'The Sound of Hope' actress claimed she was being "serious" about the matter although she was making jokes about it and that she hadn't been able to book anything else since the show was suddenly canceled, per Page Six.

"I haven’t booked nothing since ‘Euphoria.’ This is some bulls**t. I thought my career was on the rise after ‘Euphoria.’ I thought I was good. It don’t work that way," expressed King.

HBO confirmed postponement of 'Euphoria' Season 3

HBO first announced the postponement of the show's third season in March, attributing the delay to the cast's hectic schedules, which include Sydney Sweeney, Zendaya, and Maude Apatow.

Insiders at the time claimed that Levinson's annoyance at HBO's insistence that he finish the scripts in their entirety before determining whether or not to approve production was the true cause of the delay.

"A handful of things have stunted the third season and it's looking more and more likely that it will never happen," revealed a source at the time.

They added, "Even though HBO has announced a delay as opposed to a cancelation, so many things would have to fall into place that may never for the show to return."

'Euphoria' has also seen some setbacks after the conclusion of Season 2 in February 2022 as Barbie Ferreira left the show in August 2022 due to a reported conflict with creator Levinson.

On top of that, Angus Cloud, who played Fezco, died in July 2023 due to an accidental overdose of fentanyl, cocaine, and other substances.

Five months later, in December 2023, producer Kevin Turen, then 44, died from multiple heart difficulties.

Having said that, a Page Six insider revealed in April of this year that despite the situation, the network wants to go "out with a bang" and hopes to accomplish "one final run to wrap it up," which means Season 3 will likely mark the conclusion of the HBO series.
