Nikkie Brass unveils details of Rex Heuermann's date confession

"As soon as he started talking about the Gilgo Beach killings, he stood up straighter. He leaned on the table. He got a smirk on his face. He almost seemed excited, like he had been waiting the whole dinner to talk about this," Brass revealed in a FOX Nation special titled 'Architect of Death.'

The Gilgo Beach serial killings, spanning from 1996 to 2011 and predominantly involving sex workers, resulted in the discovery of 11 bodies buried on the Long Island, NY beach.

Heuermann, a 59-year-old New York City architect, a married father of two, and the sole known suspect charged in connection with the 'Gilgo Four' killings of sex workers whose remains were discovered on Gilgo Beach in 2010.

The victims, Amber Lynn Costello, 27, Melissa Barthelemy, 24, Maureen Brainard-Barnes, 25, and Megan Waterman, 22, were found wrapped in burlap on the beach within days of each other between December 2010 and April 2011.

Nikkie Brass claims Rex Heuermann dropped subtle clues about his crimes

During their date, Brass claims Heuermann implicated others in connection with the murders, discussing gruesome "parties" where five people would select a "favorite escort" to kill.

She emphasizes that their conversation seemed like "somebody who was reliving it, not somebody who was just a fan talking about it."

Further, former FBI agent and profiler James Fitzgerald sheds light on Heuermann's motive, stating that he wanted to gather "as much information as he could" about what the police knew.

Nikkie Brass had sensed that Rex Heuermann could be the Gilgo Beach killer

Retired NYPD inspector Paul Mauro adds that serial killers "dine out on" notoriety, aiming to increase their public attention and image. Brass, trusting her instincts, texted a friend during the unsettling date, expressing her suspicion: "I think this is the Gilgo Beach killer."

Swiftly, she arranged for her friend to meet her, ensuring a safe exit from the ominous encounter.

Rex Heuermann targetted victims without connections

Fitzgerald highlights Heuermann's meticulous planning of the killings, targeting women who wouldn't be quickly reported missing. Brass echoes this sentiment, revealing the 59-year-old's callous belief that prostitutes "didn't have anyone who cared about them."

Heuermann was arrested in July, facing charges of three murders and being the prime suspect in another connected to the Gilgo Beach killings.

Recent court filings exposed a shocking arsenal of over 50 illegal weapons in his Massapequa Park home, with reports suggesting this accounts for less than 20% of his staggering collection of around 300 firearms.
