LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: On Sunday, former California Congressman Kevin McCarthy criticized Vice President Kamala Harris for allegedly avoiding meetings with him and others during her tenure as a Senator.

Appearing on Fox News' 'Life, Liberty & Levin', McCarthy, who served as House Majority Leader at the time, recounted his difficulties in engaging with Harris. He shared his frustration with host Mark Levin, particularly noting that Harris' reluctance to meet extended to other Democratic lawmakers as well.

Mark Levin probes Kevin McCarthy on Kamala Harris and Joe Biden

Mark Levin questioned Kevin McCarthy about Kamala Harris' political extremism, to which Kevin McCarthy agreed, affirming, “she is” as Levin characterized Harris as “every damn bit as crazy radical as we think and see and hear.”

McCarthy also touched on the controversial issue of Harris allegedly concealing or misrepresenting President Biden’s mental fitness, an issue that has sparked considerable public debate.

McCarthy specifically highlighted his personal experience with Harris during her Senate career. “When she got elected to the US Senate, I was the Majority Leader. I reached out to meet with her. Not once would she meet with me,” McCarthy said. He also noted that other Democrats in the California delegation shared similar sentiments, describing her as unapproachable. “If I talked to the Democrats inside the California delegation, they didn’t care for her because she would not meet.”

Kevin McCarthy criticizes Kamala Harris' management style and work environment

The former Speaker of the House went further, criticizing Kamala Harris for allegedly fostering a challenging work environment and struggling to retain staff. “It is known in California, and it’s known in Washington. It is a heroic work environment if you work for her. Nobody lasts very long. Even as VP, when she didn’t do anything, she could not keep staff,” Kevin McCarthy said.

He suggested that the media often overlooks these aspects of Harris' career. “Her lack her most liberal policies, but more importantly, the work environment she’s around. How she treats people around her is a real indication of what she’ll do in the future,” he added.

Levin concurred with McCarthy's assessment, emphasizing that there are enough former staffers willing to speak on the record about their experiences, yet the press has not pursued these stories. “Yeah, it’s a hundred percent and there’s enough staffers out there, some of them on the record, that the press could interview. They could talk to them,” Levin said.
