WASHINGTON, DC: Former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci, reacting to Donald Trump's infamous Hitler references, said that the former President is entirely aware of what he is saying.

Scaramucci, who served Trump's campaign team and only 11 days in the administration, shared his opinions on CNN's 'Newsnight'. "He puts things out there, sort of with a forked tongue. He'll say one thing and say, 'Oh geez, I didn't realize that that was from that.' But he does know that it's from that," he said to CNN's Abby Philip.

He added, "He knows exactly what he's doing, it is very premeditated, and he always gives that forked tongue spiel to somebody else later on after he has dropped the bomb." He added that Trump "knows that this is a dog whistle."

The ex-communications director's words contradicted Trump's recent statement in a radio interview where he claimed that he knows nothing about Adolf Hitler and has never read the dictator's works.

Trump, who is dominating the opinion polls among the 2024 Republican presidential candidates, has heavily retorted to his anti-immigrant language during his campaign rallies, with people saying he's mirroring the Nazi leader's ideology of illegal immigrants "poisoning the blood of our country."   The White House also criticized the statement as a "grotesque rhetoric of fascists."

Anthony Scaramucci thinks Donald Trump has never read 'Mein Kampf'

According to Scaramucci, the former President, despite using Hitler's quotes on multiple occasions, might not have read the Nazi leader's autobiographical manifesto. "I do believe him that he has not read Mein Kampf, okay, because I don't think this guy's ever read a book," the former Trump aide said.

He added, "But he knows about Mein Kampf, you can ask General Kelly."

During a campaign rally in Waterloo, Iowa, the billionaire presidential candidate claimed he had never read the book. However, the media dug up an old interview with his ex-wife, Ivana Trump, where she said that he had a copy of Hitler's speeches at his bedside.

The influx of undocumented migrants entering the country through its southern border has become the sharpest weapon of Trump's presidential campaign, and he even announced that he would be a "dictator" for a day if elected to put a stop to this and protect the borders.

Internet backs Anthony Scaramucci's claims that Donald Trump knows he's quoting Hitler

Despite the former President's assertion that he has never read 'Mein Kampf', many netizens believe he still knew what he was saying. Therefore, they supported the claims made by the former communication director.

As The Daily Beast reported on the news on Facebook, several people backed Scaramucci's remarks.

One person wrote, "Of course he knows. And if he didn't, he knows now and keeps repeating it." Another user remarked, "It's been known for decades that DJT was a fan of the Mein Kampf."

"Er, who said he didn't know. Everyone knows this is Trump's schtick..." added a third user. Another stated, "I doubt he knows the origins but he most certainly agrees with the sentiment."

"If he only paraphrased one famous Hitler quote, I could give a person a pass on claiming they didn't know it was Hitler. When they are doing more than three in rabid succession, they are lying when they say they didn't know. None of these Hitler quotes are unknown. They are taught in high schools as context for why nazi Germany was so dangerous, and the horrors of fascism and systemic genocide of minorities," read an angry comment.

On X, formerly Twitter, as Abby Phillip posted a clip of her interview with Scaramucci, several people once again agreed with the former communications director's remarks.

"He knows and he does not care about the future for the rest of us," commented one person and another pointed out, "Stephen Miller wrote many of his speeches. And he knows exactly what he’s saying."

A third person further slammed Trump, writing, "Hrs right in that Trump hasn't read Mein Kampf but he reads speeches by Hitler and repeats his rhetoric." Another noted, "I believe he's fully aware of the context since he quotes hitler."

One person also pointed out, "He's never read it but you can be sure people who write his speeches and who cater to his every need have read it."
