LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The Burbank Police Department booked 25-year-old internet sensation Oneya Johnson, who runs the 'Angry Reactions' handle on TikTok, on February 12 over accusation of domestic abuse.

Law enforcement sources told TMZ that a woman called the police to report an incident that had happened in a nearby hotel in California.

It is said that the domestic conflict started out as a verbal argument before getting physical.

Oneya Johnson posted the $50,000 bail

Apart from the fact that the woman who was allegedly injured did not need medical attention, not much more is known about the altercation. In order to be released, the influencer promptly posted the $50,000 bail.

Early in 2022, Johnson began to gain notoriety as 'Angry Reactions.' The TikToker would frequently post heartfelt remarks in response to other viral videos or fan comments, despite his outwardly angry persona, Dexerto reported.

The popularity of these Angry Reactions videos grew to the point where one video attempted to overtake Bella Poarch's viral moment as the most liked video on TikTok.

Even so, it was unable to break into the top 20 in the end. With over 54 million views on his most popular video, a 2021 TikTok is still attracting new fans in 2024.

Just under 28 million people follow the Angry Reactions TikTok account, and hundreds of thousands more watch it on YouTube and Instagram.

Johnson has not yet addressed the arrest that followed the alleged domestic abuse in public.

Internet 'Not supremely surprised'

As soon as netizens received the news of Johnson's arrest, they started reacting, sharing their reaction on X (previously known as Twitter). One user wrote, "Not supremely surprised."

Another one added with a laughing emoji, "He let anger get the best of him."

The third commentator stated, "This is a serious matter, and it's important to let the legal process take its course. Domestic violence is never acceptable, and it's essential that all allegations are thoroughly investigated."

"Everyone has the right to a safe and healthy environment, and it's crucial to stand against any form of abuse. My thoughts are with the victim and hope for a fair and just resolution to this situation," he further added.
