'Out of control': Rep Nancy Mace backs Trump's plan to send soldiers into Chicago to make it 'safer'

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS: South Carolina Rep Nancy Mace (R) says she’s ready for a military-style cleanup of Chicago, and she’s hoping President Donald Trump delivers on his promise.
“I hope that President Trump has the resources to send soldiers to Chicago, if that’s what it takes,” Mace told Fox News on Sunday. “That is one of the most violent cities in America, particularly for the hardest-hit communities there.”
The comment comes as Trump, who’s already deployed federalized troops into Los Angeles and Washington, DC, has now set his sights on Chicago.
Nancy Mace slams Democrats as 'party of violence'
Mace didn’t just stop at cheering on troops in the Windy City. She torched Democrats in the process.
“They are defending rapists, they’re defending murderers, they’re defending child molesters and pedophiles by keeping those who are committing heinous crimes and who are here illegally right here in the United States,” she raged. “I mean, they’re fighting for the rights of illegals. They’re fighting for the rights of gang members and cartel members.”
“It’s out of control, it’s insane, and I look forward to watching the videos of soldiers entering Chicago and getting Chicago safer than it’s ever been, because the mayor certainly is not doing it. Neither is the governor," Mace added.

Illimois Gover JB Pritzker punches back at Trump
Illinois Governor JB Pritzker isn’t rolling out the welcome mat for Trump’s troops. Instead, he told CBS’s 'Face the Nation' on Sunday, “I’ve been standing up to Donald Trump, and I’m going to do everything I can to stop him from taking away people’s rights and from using the military to invade states.”
According to The Washington Post, Pritzker is making “every effort” to keep Trump’s soldiers at bay.
Of course, Trump went scorched-earth on Truth Social.
“JB Pritzker, the weak and pathetic Governor of Illinois, just said that he doesn’t need help in preventing CRIME. He is CRAZY!!! He better straighten it out, FAST, or we’re coming!” he blasted on Saturday.
This wasn’t their first clash. A week earlier, Pritzker called Trump’s threat to “straighten out Chicago, just like we did DC” not just political theater but “unprecedented and unwarranted. It is illegal, it is unconstitutional, it is un-American.”
Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson doubles down over Trump troop threat
Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson is siding with Pritzker, rolling out a sweeping executive order designed to slam the door shut on Trump’s plans.
On Saturday, he signed the “Protecting Chicago Initiative,” which he billed as “the most sweeping campaign of any city in the country to protect ourselves from the threats and actions of this out-of-control administration.”
The order bans local police from working with federal agents “on joint law enforcement patrols, arrest operations, or other law enforcement duties including civil immigration enforcement.”
In a news conference, Johnson said, “We have received credible reports that we have days, not weeks, before our city sees some type of militarized activity by the federal government. We take these threats seriously, and we find ourselves in a position where we must take immediate, drastic action to protect our people from federal overreach.”
Johnson has also voiced “grave concerns about the impact of any unlawful deployment of National Guard troops to the city of Chicago,” blasting Trump’s plan as “uncoordinated, uncalled for, and unsound.”
He warned that such a move could “inflame tensions between residents and law enforcement.”
The timing couldn’t be worse. Over Labor Day weekend alone, Chicago police say at least five people were killed and 30 others injured in shootings, including a Saturday night drive-by that left seven people wounded.
