WASHINGTON, DC: Former president and GOP nominee Donald Trump triggered outrage over social media as he reposted a crude remark about Vice President Kamala Harris and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Truth Social on Tuesday, August 27.

The post was the latest addition to Trump and his MAGA supporters' sexist attacks on the present and former Democratic nominee. It suggested that Harris slept her way up the political ladder by dating former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown in the 1990s, and implicated Clinton by referring to her husband, former president Bill Clinton's affair with Monica Lewinsky.

Donald Trump's sexist attacks on Kamala Harris and Hillary Clinton

Trump is not new at launching sexist attacks on his political rivals. During his first presidential campaign in 2016, a clip went viral of him bragging about being able to “grab ‘em by the p***y,” reported Independent.

He went on to describe both Clinton and Harris as "nasty" on separate occasions while running against them for the White House.

The frequency of the distasteful attacks against Harris has reportedly been amped up by MAGA since she replaced incumbent Joe Biden at the top of the Democratic ticket in July.

Trump attacked Harris over her appearance during an interview last month, saying, "She’ll be like a play toy. They (world leaders) look at her and they say, ‘We can’t believe we got so lucky.’ They’re going to walk all over her.” The New York Times further reported the former president calling his rival a "b***h" in private earlier this month.

JD Vance, the GOP vice presidential candidate, has contributed to the sexist tropes of attack against Harris himself, calling her a “childless cat lady” and claiming that she doesn’t have a “direct stake” in America’s future, even though she has two stepchildren.

Internet derides Donald Trump

Netizens are furious with Trump for promoting the lewd remark against Harris and Clinton and slammed him on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

Founder of gun safety group 'Moms Demand Action' Shannon Watts shared the post on X, asking, "Donald Trump reposted this. Is this really who you want making decisions about women’s freedoms and safety?”

"He’s unfit for any office," stated another.

"He is 100% Anti Women," noted a third.

"I cannot comprehend how a major political party would run a presidential candidate who posts such muck," wondered a fourth.

"This undignified mushroom squirt has no right whatsoever to run for the presidency of the United States of America. Poor excuse for a man," expressed a fifth.

"A bottom feeder, the most unworthy, undignified person to hold The Office of POTUS," commented a sixth.
