WASHINGTON, DC: Donald Trump’s administration, which has never shied away from expressing its strong stance against migrants, has recently come under fire for sharing a bizarre post on Valentine’s Day.

The White House shared a borderline threatening message for migrants on Friday, February 14, when they posted a short rhyme to announce what they would do if they found anyone living in the country illegally.

White House's menacing warning for migrants in Valentine's Day message

Ever since Donald Trump signed the executive order to initiate deportation of migrant residents, the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents have deported thousands of people to their native countries.

In the wake of the mass deportation, on Friday, the White House released a Valentine’s Day post reminiscent of the threat.

Under the garb of a Valentine’s Day parable, the short poem read, "Roses Are Red Violets Are Blue Come Here Illegally And We'll Deport You."

The post was captioned, "Happy Valentine’s Day ♥️."

President Trump has started acting on the promise he made during his election campaign - with a mass deportation of illegal immigrants to different countries. NBC News reported there had been a total of 109 deportation flights in January, with 65 before the inauguration and 44 after.

He has reportedly turned up the pressure on the Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement and his advisers to deport more people.

Internet calls out White House's Valentine's Day post on migrants

White House's latest post left social media users fuming as they flocked to the comment section to share their views, noting, it was an "insane thing" to be posted from an official account.

"This is an insane thing to post from a government account," declared one user in the Instagram comment section.

Another user slammed the post, writing, "Unprofessional, i would expect a 5 year old kid to post sum kind of bs like this."

"Ashamed you are our president. LEAD by example," said another netizen, criticizing the president for allowing the publication of the message.

Meanwhile, another user mused, "Politicizing and ridiculing the pain of millions of families in america is not the “flex” you think it is."

Someone else noted, "This is an embarrassing and disrespectful post regardless of anyone’s side of the aisle. Way to uphold the respect of the Oval Office."

"This is such a classless and disturbing thing to be posted by the government 🤮," declared another user, unhappy with the post.

Someone else chided, "Well that was quite sophomore and disgusting."

Another user exclaimed, "I cannot believe this is on the official WH page 😂👏🏼."

"Welcome to the USA, where executive orders are your everyday memes😭😂😂," noted another Instagrammer.

"This is a joke right? This can't be real," penned a bewildered user.

Another user explained, "This post is appalling and an absolute embarrassment to our country. Weaponizing immigration policy for a Valentine’s Day joke is beyond inappropriate. The White House should be a place of dignity and leadership, not divisive and cruel rhetoric. This is not who we should be as a nation."
