WASHINGTON, DC: Progressive political commentator and journalist Joy Reid did not think President Donald Trump looked like his most powerful self when Elon Musk paid a visit to the White House with his son, X Æ A-12, for a meeting.

On Tuesday, February 11, the world’s richest man visited the POTUS at the Oval Office ahead of his signing an executive order to continue cutting federal jobs.

While the images of Musk and his son with Trump have since gone viral on the internet, Joy Reid, 56, appeared not a big fan of them.

In fact, the MSNBC journalist claimed the 78-year-old president looked his “weakest” in the room.

During a recent interview with Zeteo editor-in-chief Mehdi Hasan, Reid reflected on the viral meeting between Trump and the head of the newly created Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), saying that even Musk’s toddler son X looked he “had more power in the room.”

Speaking with Hasan, ‘The ReidOut’ host said, “I mean, the idea of JD Rockefeller, for instance, being in the Oval Office, standing there while the actual president of the United States is giving a press conference would be absurd in that era," as reported by Grabien.

When Hasan chimed in, "Because Elon’s the actual president of the United States,” Reid responded in the affirmative, noting, “He clearly is," before adding, “He’s standing over Trump.”

She did not hold back from sharing her opinion on how the GOP leader looked powerless in the room, noting, “It is the weakest Donald Trump has ever looked, as he couldn’t even really stop the child from talking, right?”

“The child had more power in that room than he did,” added Reid while concluding her criticism of the high profile meeting.

Tuesday’s meeting marked the first time since the Tesla boss took questions from journalists after joining Trump’s administration as a special government employee.

For the meeting, the SpaceX founder brought his young son X, whom he shares with former partner, Grimes. As the two men went on in their discussions, the toddler had the time of his life as he went on gallivanting around the Oval Office, per Irish Independent.

At times, X also stood beside the POTUS, and sometimes he took refuge under his father’s great coat.

Internet says the entire ordeal was 'embarrassing'

As Joy Reid put forward her opinion, several social media users nodded in agreement. While some of them urged the Democrats to "fight back," some simply termed people as "delusional."

One of the users commented on YouTube, "The kid knows the deal.😂."

"Now we know what Elon talks about around his children," said someone else.

Another user noted, "It is so sick. The worst part is the public is okay with this."

Someone else added, "The world saw this and that's enough for Elon 😂😂😂."

"Very embarrassing Trump look like never seen. Weak," declared someone else.

Another user bemoaned, "This is nightmare is never ending ... 🤔."

"Nice job continuing to anger people. Now DO something about it. WE expect the dems to fight back, not just paraphrase," chimed in another, as someone else pointed out, "These people are delusional."
