The pastor, who was also Kirk’s spiritual leader, reminded attendees that the group has continued to thrive even after the loss of its leader.
“Charlie Kirk did 31 years on this earth. He had more lifetimes in 31 years than all of us have in the entirety of our own,” McCoy said as he reflected on Kirk’s life and work.

McCoy also recalled a conversation he had with the organization’s team before the service.
“I was just telling the Turning Point staff as I walked in here, everyone is worried that Turning Point isn’t going to be successful, and I looked at each and every one of them,” McCoy said.
The pastor went on to recognize their efforts. “Without Charlie Kirk’s presence, they pulled off the largest event in Turning Point history. Let’s thank them. Turning Point is alive and well,” said Pastor McCoy.

McCoy said Kirk's curiosity gave him strength, that he was never afraid, and that his life is secure in God's hands.
“The why brought him the courage. The why brought him the wisdom and the strength. Charlie wanted his Savior to be the guest of honor. He was never afraid — his life was secure in the hand of God," he said during the memorial.
