PETA entices Stormy Daniels to become the face of their anti-horse racing campaign aimed at Donald Trump
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: PETA is attempting to entice former pornstar Stormy Daniels to become the new face of their new anti-horse racing campaign with a mock-up advertisement aimed at Donald Trump.
In a letter sent this week, the animal rights group requested the 45-year-old to be the face of a public service announcement that would "protect horses from the cruelties of horse racing." Besides, they promised to take a shot at the former president and included a "rough mock-up" of the campaign's appearance.
'Nobody likes a two-minute ride'
In the advertisement, Stormy stands with her back to a racetrack with the caption "Nobody likes a two-minute ride. Turn your back on horse racing cruelty." The slogan alludes to Daniels' earlier allegations that Trump spent barely two minutes in bed during the sexual encounter that has been at the center of his ongoing hush money trial.
Stromy Daniels has been a key witness in Donald Trump's hush money trial
The former adult entertainer is one of the main witnesses in the ongoing trial of the former president who is charged with fabricating financial records to cover up the hush money payment he made to Stormy following their 2006 affair. Stormy has testified about the $130,000 non-disclosure agreement she signed with Trump's then-attorney Michael Cohen in 2016.
PETA applauded Stormy Daniels for testifying against Donald Trump
PETA praised Stormy Daniels in a letter for standing up to Trump, saying, "We are inspired by your strength and courage" and urged her to make the most of her platform.
"Every week, an average of 24 horses shatter bones and die at racetracks across the country, and the distressing number of deaths continue to mount," they said, adding "Last year alone, 16 horses died at Churchill Downs in the weeks leading to the Kentucky Derby. As documented by PETA in this heartbreaking video, Lost in Limbo was one of them."
"While Churchill Downs did listen to our pleas and suspended racing, it has yet to make any meaningful changes to protect horses," PETA added, according to Daily Mail. With the tagline, "Nobody likes a two-minute ride. Turn your back on horse racing cruelty," they mocked the former president with an example of the advertisement that they attached.
Stormy Daniels' statement about Donald Trump in a 2018 interview
The slogan is a reference to comments Stormy made about Trump in a 2018 interview with Vogue. When asked about her encounter with Trump, she said, "How many details can you really give about two minutes? Maybe. I'm being generous."
PETA said the advertisement was just a "rough mock-up" and added, "We work with wonderful celebrity photographers, groomers, and stylists, and will tailor a concept specifically for you." They promised, "Your voice could make a significant difference in protecting these magnificent animals. Thank you for your time and consideration."
Closing arguments in Trump's ongoing trial started on Tuesday morning, May 28, after nearly six weeks of testimony.
Internet blasts Stormy Daniels and PETA
The former pornstar and PETA faced harsh criticism from netizens following the mock-up advertisement. One user wrote, "Well, this shows you that PETA is full of dummycraps. And Trunp should sue PETA for her paycheck she will get as still owes him the $500,000 from the lawsuit she lost when Trump sued her."
Another commented, "Yeah. Let's make a star of some lying, money grabbing harlot.. disgusting how that works." "Stormy misunderstands and starts blowing the horse," mocked one. "PETA is a joke," added another. One user commented, "meh, she rides everything else."
