Piers Morgan blasts ‘vile crap’ comments celebrating Joe Biden's cancer diagnosis: 'Show some respect'

LONDON, UK: Piers Morgan called out those who have continued to attack Joe Biden, 82, after his prostate cancer diagnosis was revealed on Sunday, May 18.
The English media personality, who has been a staunch critic of the former president, took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his views on the same, the Irish Star reported.

Piers Morgan asks people to show respect to Joe Biden after his cancer diagnosis
Piers Morgan wrote, "I’m going to block anyone I see - and there’s already a lot of this vile crap flying around - mocking, celebrating, or playing partisan politics with Joe Biden’s health news."
"The man has served his country for 50yrs and is fighting for his life. Show some bloody respect," the journalist added.

Morgan’s statement came after Biden's office shared, as per CNN, “Last week, President Joe Biden was seen for a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing increasing urinary symptoms. On Friday, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone.”

Joe Biden's family is ‘reviewing treatment options’
The statement further mentioned that “while this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive which allows for effective management.”

Following the announcement, the Democrat’s long-time opponent and current President Donald Trump even issued a supportive statement.
On Truth Social, Trump wrote, “Melania and I are saddened to hear about Joe Biden’s recent medical diagnosis…We extend our warmest and best wishes to Jill and the family, and we wish Joe a fast and successful recovery.”
Another critic of Biden, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La), said, “This is certainly sad news, and the Johnson family will be joining the countless others who are praying for the former President in the wake of his diagnosis.”
