LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem recently found herself at the center of controversy following her appearance on CBS’ 'Face the Nation'.

Noem, a Republican, took to social media to express her dissatisfaction with the interview, particularly targeting host Margaret Brennan for what she perceived as excessive interruptions.

Kristi Noem accuses media of bias, alleges double standards in interview interactions

In a post on social media platform X, Noem claimed that during the 15-minute interview, Brennan interrupted her a total of '36 times — once every 25 seconds on average."

“This morning in our 15-minute interview, Margaret Brennan interrupted me 36 times—once every 25 seconds on average.”

Noem voiced her frustration over the interview, questioning why she was being treated differently than other guests and accusing the media of having double standards, particularly when it comes to conservative figures like herself.

"But when liberals like [Michigan Gov Gretchen Whitmer] and [former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi] are on @FaceTheNation, they aren’t interrupted once," Noem said.

"In the fake news media, there are two sets of rules, and conservative[s] are always treated differently. That’s why Americans don’t trust the Fake News."

Noem's candid interview: From leadership encounters to moral dilemmas

The interview covered various topics, including Noem's encounters with world leaders, which she declined to discuss in detail, as well as controversial passages from her upcoming memoir, 'No Going Back'.

"Well, number one, Joe Biden’s dog has attacked 24 Secret Service people," Noem said. "So how many people is enough people to be attacked and dangerously hurt before you make a decision on a dog and what to do with it?"

One such passage involved Noem recounting a decision she made around two decades ago to euthanize a problematic hunting dog, a decision she defended despite potential backlash.

"As a mom, I made a choice between protecting my children, and protecting them from a dangerous animal that was killing livestock and attacking people," Noem said.

Controversy ensues over Kristi Noem's remarks on Biden's dog

Another contentious topic arose when Noem seemingly suggested that President Joe Biden's dog Commander should meet a similar fate to her own dog, Cricket, referencing Commander's reported attacks on Secret Service personnel.

"That’s what the president should be accountable to," Noem replied. "What is the number?"

However, Brennan clarified that Commander had been relocated from the White House to live with relatives of the president, prompting further debate.

Despite the challenges faced during the interview, Noem reiterated the significance of her upcoming book, describing it as a guide for Americans seeking to engage with their government.

'No Going Back' is set to be released soon, with Noem aiming to empower citizens to play a more active role in shaping the future of the country.

Social media users criticize Kristi Noem's interview performance and past actions

Social media users swiftly criticized Governor Kristi Noem's interview performance and past actions following her complaints about interruptions during her appearance on CBS' 'Face the Nation'.

One user wrote, "She never called you a straight up liar. That was Margaret's giant mistake! You lie faster than you breathe. #DogKiller."

Another added, "Why do you think we care about you getting interrupted Kristi? We are still disgusted by you. In fact, we aren’t sure why people are letting you speak at all. Everything you say is hot garbage ."

One user commented, "You killed your own dog and went on a rehabilitation tour and threatened Biden's dog. Now, you want to speak to CBS manager. Please stop digging."

Another said, "We all watched the interview, and you were not rudely interrupted, but you did lie an awful lot. At least it kept you busy so you couldn't kill any more dogs for a few minutes."

One replied, "But how many times did you lie in that 15 minute interview?"

Another said, "It’s her responsibility to interrupt you when you’re telling lies, or using word salad to avoid answering the question."
