WASHINGTON, DC: Pope Leo’s elder brother, Louis Prevost, who is a MAGA supporter as per his social media posts, met President Donald Trump on Tuesday, May 20, in the Oval Office.

White House aide Margo Martin shared the pictures of the meeting on X (formerly Twitter) and captioned the post, "Great meeting between President Trump, Vice President Vance, and @Pontifex’s brother, Louis Prevost, and his wife Deborah."

The photo shared on X showed Louis Prevost and his wife Deborah smiling next to Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance in the Oval Office, The Daily Beast reported.

Earlier on Tuesday, Trump told reporters on Capitol Hill that he was excited to meet Prevost, who has a history of posting MAGA takes on social media.

The POTUS said, "I like the Pope and I like the Pope’s brother. Did you know that he lives in Florida? He’s got MAGA, he’s got Trump, and I look forward to getting him to the White House. I want to shake his hand. I want to give him a big hug."

Notably, Prevost sat next to second lady Usha Vance at Pope Leo’s inaugural mass on Sunday, May 18. The next day, he was part of the US delegation that met the pope.

Interestingly, Prevost has not been shy about his political stance, as his Facebook page had many reposts that scorched Democrats and showered praise on Trump and Vance.

However, he has deleted many of them since his brother was elected to lead the Catholic Church, per the outlet.

Following Vance's 2024 debate with the then Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz, Prevost wrote on Facebook, "JD was phenomenal debating Tim Walz and the moderators. Very knowledgeable and well spoken. He will make a great VP and then, a great President."

However, since his younger brother is the new pope now, the Floridian has vowed to cool down his MAGA rhetoric online, the Daily Mail reported.

During an interview with Piers Morgan last week, Prevost said, "I’ve realized, now that I see some of this coming back at me, that I should probably tone it down. I’ve backed off a lot of media, and I don’t see myself really getting too much involved in that."

Louis Prevost once shared a video calling Nancy Pelosi a 'c**t' and scolding liberals 'crying' over tariffs

Louis Prevost shared a video on his social media in April calling Nancy Pelosi a "c***" and scolding "f*****g liberals" for crying about tariffs.

Prevost shared a video of Pelosi from the 1990s going to bat for hitting China with tariffs, according to Mediaite.

The post also talked about a conspiracy theory about the 85-year-old Democrat's husband, Paul Pelosi, being romantically involved with the man who broke into their home and attacked him with a hammer.

Prevost's reshared post was from a Facebook user who wrote, "These f*****g liberals crying about tariffs is just unreal. Do they not know that there is a thing called video? Just listen to what this drunk c*** has to say in the mid 90’s long before her husband had Grindr dates."

Moreover, other posts of Prevost included a meme showing a mental institution with the caption, "Where the woke lived before the ’70s", and a post with the caption, "Please pray for the 33% who approve of Biden, that they be healed of their mental affliction."

During an interview with The New York Times, he told the outlet that his brother’s election came as a shock and joked, "Jeez, it was like just yesterday, I was throwing him down the stairs. And now he’s pope!"
