Caitlin Clark says 'we’ve earned this'

Clark told The New York Post, “Being so close last year, I think that’s what just drives you. It’s amazing to be back in the Final Four. It’s so hard to get there, especially with how loaded this region was.”

“We told ourselves we’re the 1-seed for a reason. We’ve earned this. We deserve to be in these moments. We’re prepared for these moments,” she mentioned.

The 22-year-old basketball player added, “The reason we’ve been able to play such good basketball is we don’t want this to end. … We want to win two more, and I think we have the power to do that.”

But besides her win, her sweet gesture toward her brother has also won people’s hearts.

Following the match, she reportedly threw her ball to her sibling, who was standing in the audience.

"I always chuck the ball up there after big games. I did it last year when we advanced to the Final Four and now did it this year. Gotta take the ball and get out of here before the NCAA gets it," she said as per Marca.
