NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Rep Lauren Boebert (R-Co) visited the campus of George Washington University with a delegation of her House GOP colleagues, where she tussled with Pro-Palestine protestors and unsuccessfully attempted to remove a Palestinian flag from a statue on Wednesday, May 1.

Her visit was marred with humiliation, as students serenaded her with the 'Stormtrooper' theme from Star Wars, as well as chants of 'Beetlejuice' across the campus. Back in September 2023, Boebert was escorted out of a 'Beetlejuice' musical in Dever for allegedly groping her date and causing a disturbance among the audience comprised of children.

In videos shared across social media platforms, Bobert is seen attempting to remove a Palestinian flag draped over a statue of George Washington. She gets into an argument with protesters, claiming the statue to be "private property."

"Yes, it is private property," she is heard saying while pointing at the statue. "This is America and that s**t needs to come down ... This is private property."

A voice, who later identifies as a member of the faculty, reminds Boebert "It's not your property." The Congresswoman tells the person to "climb up there and get that down," before being checked by another that "the flag is personal property."

After a brief exchange, Boebert is seen walking away from the area while saying "Get it down" and shaking her head.

Lauren Boebert threatens colleges to kiss federal funding goodbye

Standing up to incessant booing and having her speech drowned out by chants of "Free Palestine," the Congresswoman told the reporters on campus, "We stand with Israel, our greatest ally in the Middle East. These folks who are shouting 'Free Palestine' ... almost every single person in this so-called liberated zone would be eviscerated by the very terrorists you are standing here supporting."

"This is not the summer of love. I had people proudly saying that they are faculty and not wanting to remove a Palestinian sign from the George Washington statue. If they don't want to do something to address this, well then kiss your federal funding goodbye," she added, according to Newsweek.

Trolls slam Lauren Boebert over GWU visit

Netizens trolled the congresswoman over her visit to the campus, as the following tweets demonstrate.

"I'm not a fan of these protests, but what did she think her little stunt would accomplish?" wrote a user.

"That’s as close as she’s getting to university life," jibed another.

"It’s really funny how republicans think they are qualified on helping the country with 'people probs' LMFAO. NOT ONE @GOP @HouseGOP knows how to govern at all, ever," commented a third.

"Stormtrooper theme as an opening song… brilliance," stated a fourth.

"Hehe, perfectly deserved!" chided a fifth user.

"The little troll thinks she’s everyone’s boss. She got schooled at the campus." quipped a sixth.
