WASHINGTON, DC: Barron Trump turned 19 on March 20, and this might be an especially challenging time for his mother, Melania Trump, a neuropsychologist has claimed.

The only son of President Donald Trump and the former model has always been shielded by his mother. The first lady even told Fox News earlier this year that she won’t be living in the White House all the time since Barron is in New York City for college.

She said, "I will be in the White House. And when I need to be in New York, I will be in New York."

"I feel as children, we have them till they are 18, 19 years old," the 54-year-old had added.

Protecting Barron Trump may get difficult for Melania Trump

But now since the first son is 19, the NYC neuropsychologist Dr Sanam Hafeez, the Director of Comprehend the Mind, told Nicki Swift, "He might struggle to balance embracing his privacy and managing public expectations, especially because it seems like Melania has always protected him from the public eye."

"But now that he's an adult ... it's harder for her to do this," she shared.

Hafeez further explained that "the recent increased public attention on Barron has likely intensified her protective instincts toward him. [Melania] will likely face challenges in merging her wish for Barron's normal life with the demands of public exposure."

Barron Trump will have to manage more stress than his siblings did at his age

Sanam Hafeez also told the publication that Barron Trump has to face more public scrutiny than his elder siblings since Donald Trump is currently in office after his win in the November 2024 election. She claimed, "Barron will have to manage stress in ways his siblings didn't have to."

One of his older siblings, Eric Trump, had said something similar during an interview with the Daily Mail ahead of the election.

"I'm really lucky, when I was a bachelor we had a lot of attention but not quite the attention that he'll have," the 41-year-old shared. "Just be careful, just be careful. There are a lot of eyes on you."

Dating could be especially difficult for Barron Trump

Moreover, as Barron Trump is always under the Secret Service's protection, it "could make it challenging to build genuine friendships, as he might feel like he can't be himself around others."

Hafeez has some thoughts about Barron's possible dating life too. She told Nicki Swift, "It could also be difficult to date."

"Barron may constantly wonder if people are truly interested in him for who he is, or if they're seeking attention or benefits from being associated with him," she added.
