NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: On March 2, 'Morning Joe' co-host Mika Brzezinski passionately criticized the Republican Party's portrayal of abortion, contrasting it with Democratic policies and examining President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris's strategies to counter Florida's 'extreme' legislation on the issue.

Brzezinski condemned the GOP's 'toxic political agenda' concerning women's reproductive rights, asserting that far-right factions, Trump Republicans, and right-to-life activists have tainted the term 'abortion'.

Mika Brzezinski urges strategic messaging on reproductive rights

"They make it sound like some sort of crime by some sort of lazy woman who is immoral," Brzezinski remarked to a panel including Jennifer Palmieri, Symone Sanders-Townsend, and John Heilemann.

"The hypocrisy is incredible, but I won’t digress. You don’t want me to do that," she added.

In Florida, the Supreme Court upheld a 15-week abortion ban and approved a proposed constitutional amendment to safeguard reproductive rights, set for the November ballot.

I would take the word life. Life of the mother. Especially with the cases of unviable pregnancies, we see mothers’ lives at risk,” Brzezinski said (@msnbc/Youtube)

Additionally, the court's ruling opens the door for a six-week abortion ban to potentially take effect in the state.

In a recent internal communication, the Biden-Harris campaign identified Florida as a 'winnable' state and a pivotal target for securing victory in the 2024 presidential election.

Brzezinski proposed that they could achieve this by elevating reproductive rights as a central focus of their campaign strategy.

"At the same time, I think that Democrats need to be smart with their words," she advised.

"I would take the word ‘life.’ I would take the word life. Life of the mother. Especially with the cases of unviable pregnancies, we see mothers’ lives at risk. Right to have life — IVF. Right to have a family. I would take their word, and I would tell them what to do with it."

"It’s abortion healthcare," she continued. "It is part of our normal healthcare. That needs to get out there. That message needs to be sent to Democrats and Republicans who will vote on this issue because it affects their everyday life," said another person.

Brzezinski's statements sparks supportive wave on social media

Brzezinski words resonated deeply across social media platforms, garnering an outpouring of encouragement and solidarity from users who praised her for speaking truth to power.

One person wrote, "You are so right Mika. I have argued the dangers of No Women’s failed Pregnancy healthcare . I would add How much Medical Knowledge & Medical Technology has Advanced. How specialized Doctors are in the field."
