LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In a recent 'Morning Joe' appearance, Rep Jared Moskowitz (D-FL) criticized former President Donald Trump, accusing him of "setting the stage" for World War III with his comments on NATO and Russia.

Moskowitz aimed at House Republicans, connecting their vote to impeach Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to Trump's influence. He dismissed the impeachment as a futile political move, suggesting it would only impact Mayorkas's Wikipedia page.

“I don’t know who Mike Johnson is. It’s clear Donald Trump is Speaker of the House,” he said.

Moskowitz blames house republicans for stalling bipartisan efforts on the border and Ukraine

Moskowitz accused House Republicans of hindering bipartisan agreements on border issues and supporting Ukraine, alleging their reluctance stems from a desire to deny President Joe Biden a victory.

“The only thing that’s going to change is his Wikipedia page,” he said about Mayorkas.

He downplayed Trump's warnings of World War III under Biden, asserting that Trump's approach to improving relations with China and Russia could be unsettling.

Moskowitz condemns Trump's NATO stance

During the MSNBC interview with Al Sharpton, Moskowitz emphasized Trump's recent statement on NATO countries' financial obligations. Trump declared he wouldn't support or secure countries behind on payments, potentially leaving them vulnerable to Russian invasion.

“[Trump] wants to change how the United States is viewed around the world,” Moskowitz told MSNBC host Al Sharpton.

“I mean, the idea that he wants to get back into the office, and he wants to have better relationships with China and Russia, right, who are trying to destabilize the world should send literally shivers down Americans’ spines," he added.

Moskowitz further stated, "You know, he talks about, Joe Biden is going to start World War II — by the way, that happened in the ’40s — but Donald Trump, what he’s talking about dealing with Russia, if Russia would start invading Europe, that would start World War III, by the way. Donald Trump is talking about that and setting the stage.”

Moskowitz warns of Trump's global intentions

Moskowitz asserted that Trump's stance, particularly his encouragement for nations to manage their security independently if they fail to meet obligations, distances him from global leaders.

"You can be sure every single world leader other than Vladimir Putin saw that and said there is no way America can have him back as president," Moskowitz remarked, expressing concern about the potential ramifications of Trump's foreign policy.

Moskowitz also voiced concerns regarding Trump's foreign policy approach, emphasizing potential consequences for global stability and diplomatic relationships.

These criticisms arise amidst ongoing discussions about the United States' role in international affairs and the ramifications of Trump's statements on geopolitical dynamics.

Public skepticism surfaces

In a critical subhead, social media users express skepticism regarding Rep Moskowitz's alarm over World War III.

One user wrote, "Do these people not see the difference between the state of the world in 2019 and the state of the world today?"

Another added, "'Setting the stage.' My dude, the stage has been set during Bidens' term. War in Ukraine, back in the Middle East, and brewing over in Taiwan. WW3 has already begun as proxy wars and just hasn't been officially declared yet."

A user wrote, "Yet, no wars when he was in office. But two big ones with the one who's there now."

Another replied, "Where’s this dude been the last 3 years?"
