WASHINGTON, DC: Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F Kennedy Jr said in a Truth Social post on Friday, August 15, that President Donald Trump is the answer to his "20-year-old prayer."

He also revealed that he will not run for president in 2028 while denying speculation amid attacks from right-wing activist Laura Loomer.

Robert F Kennedy Jr denies 'flat-out lie' that he is running for president in 2028

Robert F Kennedy Jr wrote, "The swamp is in full panic mode. DC lobby shops are laboring fiercely to drive a wedge between President Trump and me, hoping to thwart our team from dismantling the status quo and advancing @realDonaldTrump’s Make America Healthy Again agenda."

"They’re pushing the flat-out lie that I’m running for president in 2028. Let me be clear: I am not running for president in 2028," he added.

Interestingly, there has been speculation, stoked by moves made by RFK Jr Super PAC and Loomer, that the 71-year-old is eyeing another presidential run.

RFK Jr launched a 2024 presidential bid as a Democrat but later became an independent before dropping out and endorsing Trump.

Meanwhile, Trump has needled critics with the idea of seeking a third term in the White House, even though the US Constitution has limited presidents to two terms.

The POTUS recently showed Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev a "Trump 2028" hat and other memorabilia during his visit to Washington this week.

Robert F Kennedy Jr vows loyalty to Donald Trump

Further in the post, Robert F Kennedy Jr wrote, "My loyalty is to President Trump and the mission we’ve started. Their attacks on my staff, especially Stefanie Spear — a fierce, loyal warrior for MAHA who proudly serves in the Trump Administration and works every day to advance President Trump’s vision for a healthier, stronger America — are proof we’re over the target. We’ll keep moving forward, we’ll keep delivering wins, and no smear campaign will stop us."

In an interview with Politico, Loomer alleged that Spear, who was part of RFK Jr's 2024 presidential campaign, had a clear intention to "utilize her position to try to lay the groundwork for a 2028 RFK presidential run."

"President Trump is delivering on every promise beyond my wildest dreams — ending war, protecting free speech, rebuilding American industry and the American middle class, delivering transparency and gold standard science, and breaking the grip of entrenched interests," RFK Jr added in the post.

RFK Jr also mentioned, "The president has made himself the answer to my 20-year prayer that God would put me in a position to end the chronic disease epidemic — and that’s exactly what my team and I will do until the day he leaves office."

Notably, the Department of Health and Human Services came under fire this week after a judge ordered it to stop sharing Medicaid data with the president’s immigration officials.
