RFK Jr once saved numbers of 43 ‘mistresses’ on his cellphone including now-wife Cheryl Hines: Report
BROOKLINE, MASSACHUSETTS: Robert F Kennedy Jr has always been a headline-grabber, but some of his past scandals are jaw-dropping, to say the least.
Back in 2014, it was revealed that the now 70-year-old Kennedy once kept a list of rumored mistresses on his cellphone—up to 43 women, no less!
And where were they stored? Under the letter "G," which his late second wife Mary Richardson believed stood for “goomar” (slang for mistress in Italian), as per The New York Post.
One of the women on this notorious list was none other than actress Cheryl Hines, best known for her role on 'Curb Your Enthusiasm'. Cheryl, 59, tied the knot with Kennedy in 2014 in a picture-perfect ceremony at the Kennedy family compound in Hyannis Port.
Fast forward to today, Hines has kept mum about rumors involving her husband and New York magazine journalist Olivia Nuzzi. It was reported earlier this year that Kennedy and Nuzzi were involved in a sexting scandal, but Hines hasn’t said a word about it publicly.
According to an insider, though, Cheryl is no pushover.
“I don’t imagine her putting up with this,” the source told Page Six. “She has a backbone. She’s not a little housewife at home. She is successful [and] financially independent on her own.”
Robert F Kennedy Jr's 'lust demons' and secret diary
Robert F Kennedy Jr's list didn’t stop with Cheryl Hines obviously. Chelsea Chapman Kirwan, the ex-wife of celebrity plastic surgeon Lawrence Kirwan, was also allegedly part of his little black book. At the time, Kirwan was in the middle of her own high-profile divorce.
But here’s where things get wild: there were so many women on the list—some of them even sharing the same first name—that Kennedy had to label them by profession or city just to keep track. He had women across the globe — from Paris to Palm Beach, Pensacola to Toronto, and even as far as Alaska.
Kennedy seemed to have someone in almost every city, including five women in Toronto alone! One woman was labeled as “airplane,” another as “farm,” and one as “teacher.” Perhaps the most mysterious entry was simply “Z."
Kennedy’s personal life has long been riddled with controversy, and no less when it comes to his relationships. His second wife Mary Richardson tragically died by suicide in 2012. Before her death, she had confided in a friend about her husband’s alleged cheating.
According to her, Kennedy would even use aliases while traveling the world, with “Robert Strong” being his favorite pseudonym. When these rumors first emerged in 2014, Kennedy didn’t offer much of an explanation.
But there was more. After Mary’s death, Kennedy’s diaries came to light. These weren’t just your regular journals; they contained detailed documentation of his extramarital affairs. The 398-page diary apparently included cryptic codes.
In one entry from 2001, Kennedy admitted to struggling with “lust demons". However, he later described the diary as a tool for “self-examination and for dealing with my spiritual struggles at the time".
When a reporter from the New York Post asked Kennedy about the diary earlier this year, the environmental lawyer seemed taken aback.
After a long, awkward pause, he responded: “I don’t think there is any way you could have a diary or journal of mine from 2001... I don’t have any comment on it. I have no diary from 2001.”
It was an evasive answer, sure, but it didn’t stop the gossip mills.
Robert F Kennedy's alleged 'sexting' scandal with Olivia Nuzzi
Just when it seemed like things had quieted down for Robert F Kennedy Jr, his romantic escapades started making headlines again.
As mentioned, this time rumor has it that New York Magazine reporter Olivia Nuzzi had a personal relationship with Kennedy.
Nuzzi profiled Kennedy for the magazine in November and was reportedly involved in a sexting scandal with him earlier this year.
Sources spilled to the outlet that the two had been exchanging explicit messages, though Nuzzi was quick to deny that their relationship ever became physical.
A spokesperson for Kennedy previously told the outlet: “Mr Kennedy only met Olivia Nuzzi once in his life for an interview she requested, which yielded a hit piece."
