Robert F Kennedy Jr's 'heart-wrenching' endorsement speech

"I've made the heart-wrenching decision to suspend my campaign and to support President Trump. This decision is agonizing for me because of the difficulties it causes me, and my children and my friends," Robert F Kennedy Jr said on Friday afternoon, August 23, per Fox News.

During a press conference in Phoenix, Arizona, RFK Jr charged that the Democratic Party was conducting "a sham" Democratic primary election and pursuing "continual legal warfare against both President Trump and myself," which he claimed kept him from a fair chance to win the presidency.

Political analysts debate the effect of RFK Jr's 2024 election exit

Political analysts and data specialists have been discussing the impact of Robert F Kennedy Jr's withdrawal from the race on Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris' campaign ever since his statement.

In a broadcast on Friday, CNN host Erin Burnett revealed that RFK Jr had 6 percent of the vote in Arizona and Nevada and 5 percent in Michigan, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania, according to a recent New York Times/Siena College poll.

Given Trump's recent relationship, there has been conjecture about RFK Jr's potential involvement in a Trump government, should the former president win in November.

RFK Jr first announced his presidential candidacy as a Democrat in a primary challenge to President Joe Biden. He is the nephew of deceased President John F Kennedy and the son of Senator Robert F Kennedy. But after being ejected by the party, he later pursued an independent candidacy.

The news cycle that had been dominated by Harris, who formally accepted the Democratic nomination at the DNC convention in Chicago barely one month after Biden withdrew from the race, was upset by his endorsement of Trump.

Internet says RFK Jr's interview is 'a historic moment in US politics'

Netizens are seemingly waiting for the highly anticipated interview of Robert F Kennedy Jr with Fox News.

One X user tweeted, "This is truly a historic moment in U.S. politics—never before has a candidate endorsed someone from the opposite party. Love him or hate him, Trump has an unmatched ability to shake up the status quo and make history. You can’t deny that."

Another added, "He is getting the respect he always deserved." "RFK Jr.'s endorsement of Trump is a game-changer. When even a Kennedy chooses Trump over the current Democratic leadership, you know it's time to reevaluate. Are we really OK with a party that silences dissent? #Trump2024 #RFKJr #FreeSpeechMatters," remarked one.

"Kamala runs from interviews. The Trump campaign embraces them. Trump/Vance/RFK Jr are true leaders. VOTE TRUMP MAGA ," said someone else.
