One of the biggest drivers of high prices is energy costs.

Biden’s insane Green New Scam and ESG policies made prices skyrocket.

WASHINGTON, DC: Rep Riley Moore (R-WV) defended President Donald Trump’s economic record during a broadcast appearance on Fox News on Saturday, December 13, arguing that the administration was successfully cleaning up the "mess" left by the Joe Biden era.
Speaking with host Kayleigh McEnany, Moore addressed the ongoing political battle over the term "affordability." President Trump had recently pushed back against Democrats using the word as a political weapon, a sentiment Moore echoed.
“It is a lot easier to destroy an economy than to repair it,” Moore said. “And that is what President Trump has been focused on, is bringing down the prices.”
Riley Moore blames Biden-era focus on green energy policies
Moore pinpointed energy policy as the root cause of the inflation spike experienced under the previous administration.
He argued that the Biden administration’s focus on green energy policies and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) standards drove up costs that trickled down to consumers.
“What drives inflation, what drives prices to rise, is energy cost,” Moore explained. “So that passes through to everything because food and every other commodity is transported.”
The congressman touted Trump’s 'One Big Beautiful Bill' for unleashing American energy, noting that prices are beginning to drop.
“It does take a little bit of time to do that, but we are certainly on the right track,” he affirmed.
'Miracle' recovery for Andrew Wolfe
The interview also touched on breaking news regarding Andrew Wolfe, the 24-year-old National Guardsman who was shot over Thanksgiving.
Moore confirmed reports that Wolfe was making an extraordinary recovery, including breathing on his own and standing with assistance. The congressman attributed this progress to the "power of prayer" requested by Wolfe’s parents.
“All those prayer warriors out there that have been praying for Andrew and his family and his recovery, God bless you all, because it has worked,” Moore said, calling it a "miracle."
Honoring a fallen soldier
Moore also shared a somber update regarding the recent violence in Washington, DC. He attended the funeral of Specialist Sarah Beckstrom earlier in the week, a 20-year-old soldier killed in what Moore described unequivocally as a t****rist attack.
“It is sad to see Democrats pretend like this was some type of altercation or attack,” Moore stated. “This was a terrorist attack that took place in our country.”
Witnessing persecution in Nigeria
The conversation then shifted to international human rights as Moore recounted a recent trip to Nigeria to witness the persecution of Christians.
He described the experience as "heartbreaking," sharing stories of women who watched their children be murdered by radicals.

“There is a systematic, genocidal campaign by... radicals in the middle belt of this country to push these Christians off of their ancestral land,” Moore said.
He noted that the Nigerian government seemed open to a strategic security framework to address the violence. Moore also acknowledged the unlikely support from rapper Nicki Minaj, who recently tweeted in support of freeing Nigerian Christians.
“First and foremost, my concern, the president's concern, is these Christians who are being slaughtered,” Moore concluded.
