Rob Reiner's neighbor recalls Nick 'went to rehab and did well'
Maryanne Lewis spoke to Fox News outside of the Reiner residence on Monday and shared that years ago, Nick Reiner was using d***s. She added that he had gone to rehab, and to her knowledge, he was doing well.
"He was on d***s, and he went to rehab and did well. Apparently, he was back to normal, but obviously, that was not the case. I haven’t heard anything about him recently," she told the outlet.
Moreover, Lewis also recalled her last conversation with Rob last week, where they discussed that "no one prepares them for aging". She said, "It’s just thrown upon us, and we laughed."
Lewis added that she saw Michele for the last time about a month ago, driving down their street. She mentioned that Michele stopped to say hello to her dogs, because she "loved" them.
Neighborhood security remembers Michele Reiner for her kindness
Michele Singer Reiner, Rob Reiner's wife, was fondly remembered a day after her death. Security guard Trevor Taufahema told Fox News, "I'd be out here for hours, 24 hours and I wouldn't have food sometimes."
"Michele would order food and give me some food. One time it was raining and I didn't have an umbrella. She walked inside the house and came out and was like, 'Here. Here's an umbrella," the security guard added.
The guard tried to give the umbrella back to Michele, but she refused. He said, "I still have that umbrella to this day." After the initial investigation into Rob and Michele Reiner's homicides, authorities found that their son Nick was "responsible for their deaths."
