RFK Jr questions VP Harris about hiding Biden's poor health, urges her nomination through 'open process'
WASHINGTON, DC: Robert F Kennedy Jr is urging Democrats to select their presidential nominee through an "open process" after President Biden declared he would not run for reelection.
"The Democrats really need to do what President Obama said, which is to have an open process, a genuinely open process. So much of the primary process was rigged," Kennedy said on 'Fox & Friends' on Monday, July 22.
Robert F Kennedy Jr believes the Democrats lack a fair system
According to the independent presidential candidate, there's no indication that the Democratic Party intends to do so.
"It has to be some kind of fair process because it looks to the American public that the system is just rigged, which it is," stated Kennedy, per Fox News, who was prevented from running for president in the primaries by the party.
Robert F Kennedy says he's the only candidate to beat Donald Trump in 2024 presidential election
Robert F Kennedy declared he would not run for the party's nomination. The 70-year-old had previously run as a Democrat before turning independent. "I'm not going to get into the Democratic Party as long as the system seems rigged. If they had a fair system, I would. I would definitely look at it."
Kennedy added, "if they [Democrats] looked at the polling, I'm the only candidate who can beat Donald Trump."
Robert F Kennedy questions why Kamala Harris hid Joe Biden's health condition
Robert F Kennedy claimed that Kamala Harris now has some "explaining to do" about why she assisted in concealing the actual nature of the president's illness. "She was seeing the president every day, and she was telling the American public again and again, 'he is completely capable of running the country. There's no signs of a deterioration. There's no signs of cognitive impairment.' And that clearly was not true."
He added, "Whoever she runs against, she has a big vulnerability … because she's been the concealer in chief."
Robert F Kennedy praises Joe Biden while blaming Democratic Party leaders
Robert F Kennedy lauded Joe Biden and accused Democratic Party leaders of "hiding" his mental decline during a hurriedly called press conference on Sunday from his family's Hyannis Port, Massachusetts compound.
"I want to begin by commending President Biden for a career in public service: a long, long career and representing and serving our country and for his handling of the many difficulties and challenges, personal challenges and tragedies that he suffered during his life with so much admirable conduct and the empathy that he derives from those experiences," Kennedy said.
Robert F Kennedy claims DNC created a mess by covering for Joe Biden
Robert F Kennedy, who left the party his family once ruled after it blocked his bid to challenge Joe Biden in primaries, said the Democratic National Committee created a mess by covering for the president.
"The reaction of the DNC to that obvious condition was to hide it from the American public and to use their power over the Democratic Party nomination process to make sure that nobody could compete with President Biden in a way that would expose his deficiencies," Kennedy argued.
RFK Jr's comments on Democrats draw strong criticisms worldwide
Netizens slammed the independent candidate for questioning Democrats the way they select their nominees.
One X user tweeted, "Desperately trying to get publicity now that he's irrelevant." Another added, "Rfk you are a disappointment to America. You hurt your name......and you don't deserve your name."
"Says the anti-vaxxer kook. But of course FNC gives him plenty of coverage since FNC is in the tank for Trump," remarked one user and another said, "RFK Jr is a Trump stooge with brain worms."
