NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: 'The View' co-hosts sat around the Hot Topics table on the episode of December 19 to discuss the potential dangers of Donald Trump's resurgence, two days after Vice-President Kamala Harris made an appearance on the show for an interview.

The former president has been vocal about the possibility of ramifications against his opponents and enemies, which is a cause for concern for show panelist Alyssa Farah Griffin, who used to be a Trump staffer during his presidency.

"The guy himself has said (he's) going to be a dictator on day one, (that he's) going to roll back Roe vs Wade — one of the few times he actually told the truth, and that's what you should be scared of," co-host Joy Behar said.

"The country will have a problem if he is in office. And he also will go after his enemies. Hello?"

While Behar pointed towards all the women around the table, co-host Sara Haines quipped, "I think Alyssa's at risk the most." This made Griffin smile awkwardly before putting her head in her hands.

In December 2020, Griffin resigned after Trump began to cry foul with the results of the election. She subsequently spoke out against him, criticizing his actions that led to the events on January 6, 2021.

Before the former president was indicted on multiple charges, Griffin was also interviewed by federal prosecutors during an investigation into Trump's conduct.

Donald Trump slammed Alyssa Farah Griffin on air

During an interview with Fox News back in June 2023, Trump brought up the political commentator, saying, "Something happens when people leave... I have this woman named Alyssa Farah, she said the greatest things, long after she left."

"Then The View offered her a contract, but obviously only if she changed her views, and all of a sudden she can say negative things. Money gets offered to people and some people change," he claimed.

Haines had rushed to Griffin's defense at the time, stating on the show, "Alyssa, just to clear your name, your name was shouted out at one point. Let me just remind him that the second he started denying the election was when Alyssa left. It was a year and a half later with her view highly changed (that) she came to this show."
