ATLANTA, GEORGIA: Scenes of chaos at one of America’s busiest travel hubs spiraled into a full-blown political flashpoint on Sunday, March 22.

A viral video from Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport showing massive TSA lines reportedly stretching up to three hours, has ignited a fierce online debate, with major conservative commentators squarely blaming Democrats amid the ongoing Department of Homeland Security (DHS) funding standoff.

The footage shows long, snaking queues of frustrated passengers waiting to clear security, with many users describing the situation as “unmanageable” and “unacceptable.”

The clip became a political weapon, amplified by high-profile voices who tied the disruption directly to policy decisions in Washington.

Scott Jennings fumes at viral Atlanta TSA footage

Scott Jennings reposted the viral video on March 22 and didn’t hold back in assigning blame.

“Democrats have done this to American citizens to keep as many illegal aliens in the country as possible. Absolutely nuts,” Jennings wrote, framing the situation as a direct consequence of immigration-related political priorities.

He doubled down in another post, expanding his criticism beyond airport lines to broader geopolitical concerns.

“So this weekend Dems are defending inflicting massive pain on Americans at airports and why they think it’s fine for Iran to possess ballistic missiles that can reach most of Europe,” he wrote linking domestic disruptions to foreign policy debates.

Clay Travis blasts Democrats

Clay Travis also amplified the same video, using it to take aim at Democrats’ broader strategy.

“Democrats have decided to infuriate Americans with long airport lines because they don’t want illegal immigrants deported. Hell of a political strategy,” he wrote.

In a follow-up post, Travis pointed to a possible federal response, referencing comments from President Donald Trump about deploying immigration enforcement personnel to assist at airports.

“ICE agents will be at airports on Monday to help unpaid TSA agents with the overflow crowds and to potentially arrest illegals. Checkmate, Democrats,” he added.

Tomi Lahren and Matt Walsh slam DHS funding stand-off

As the video continued to circulate, several other conservative figures joined the chorus, each using the viral moment to reinforce a broader critique of Democratic policies.

Matt Walsh described the situation in sweeping ideological terms, writing “This TSA catastrophe is the Democrat Party in a nutshell. They are directly causing immense hardship for American citizens, all for the sake of foreign invaders who don’t belong in this country.”

Tomi Lahren took a similarly hard line, emphasizing the impact on travelers while tying it to concerns about crime and immigration.

“Just to be clear, Democrats are preventing TSA agents from getting paid, and leaving you in hours-long lines.” she wrote.

Meanwhile, Benny Johnson highlighted the scale of the disruption itself, stating: “TSA line at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport early Sunday morning was reportedly approaching THREE HOURS long. What Dems are doing is just cruel.”
