WASHINGTON, DC: Sean Hannity has been courting controversy since hosting the joint interview with President Donald Trump and DOGE head Elon Musk

On Tuesday, February 18, the Fox News host sat for a high-profile interview with the 78-year-old president and the billionaire businessman.

While the dynamic duo engaged in a candid chat with the 63-year-old broadcaster regarding their guiding principles and aims behind the massive overhaul of the federal government by their administration, several viewers felt Hannity ‘interrupted’ the interview way too much.

But when viewers observed Hannity interrupting the duo while speaking, they took to social media to complain about his lost opportunity.

Many claimed the host simply floundered the chance of moderating a substantial interview with the two powerhouses in the block.

Several others even added that instead of Hannity, the job should've been given to former Fox News host Tucker Carlson.

As the interview aired, the internet was furious with Hannity for his much-talked-about habit of "interrupting" his guests, with a section of fans even noting that Tucker Carlson would have done a better job of interviewing the two men.

One of the social media users wrote, "I would have much rather seen Tucker Carlson interview President Trump and Elon instead of Sean Hannity!! 🙄🙄 Hannity always interrupts, loves to hear himself talk, and will not shut the hell up! It truly gets frustrating & annoying!! 🤦🏼‍♀️💯."

Someone else complained, "Sean Hannity really loves the sound of his own voice. If you have the President of the United States & the world's wealthiest man on your show, please just let them talk. Quit interrupting to inject your thoughts. WE DON'T CARE!"

"Couldn't watch. I wanted to but I cannot listen to Sean on the radio or on Fox. He needs his "air time" to simply express his ideas and detail exactly how everything should be done in every position, every day. Guests are nothing but disruptions to his prepared remarks," one person shared.

Another social media user noted, "Why i can barely stand to watch or listen to his show. he talks too much and its about him," before advising, "Just listen dude."

Someone else added, "When Sean Hannity interviews, he actually interviewed himself ! no one else gets to speak!"

"Sean Hannity had the rare opportunity to sit down with President Donald Trump and Elon Musk for a joint interview, and he still interrupted and talked way too much!" complained someone else.

Another user noted, "If Tucker Carlson were doing this interview, it would have far more viewers and far less interruptions. Sean Hannity got content gold and threw it away for nothing."

"Sean Hannity is truly insufferable," fired another user, before asking, "Is he conducting an interview or delivering a monologue? Let the interviewees speak. We're watching to hear them, not you."

A frustrated user added, "Tucker Carlson would have done a much better job interviewing President Trump and Elon Musk than Sean Hannity. The interruptions are getting annoying."

"Sean Hannity sucks at interviewing people!!" declared another viewer, before noting, "I'm not sure why people likes listening to him. So annoying hearing this guy stumbling and thinking of what he's wanting to say."

Sean Hannity says it felt like talking to 'two brothers' during Trump and Musk's joint interview

Sean Hannity, who interviewed Donald Trump and Elon Musk together, highlighted the remarkable chemistry between the president and the X owner as he said, “I feel like I’m interviewing two brothers here," The Hill reported.

Elsewhere in the interview, Musk defended DOGE’s role in the government, saying, “In order to save the taxpayer money, it comes down to two things, competence and caring,” before adding, “And the problem is that the American taxpayer has been getting a terrible deal because look at the last administration.”

At that point, Hannity added, “But they lied to us and said that Joe didn’t have a cognitive decline,” to which the businessman replied, “They fully lied.”

During the interview, Trump praised the Space X founder, highlighting his contribution to American space programs.

After claiming Musk’s rocket program is way ahead of Russian and China’s space programs, Trump further applauded the Space X CEO for his major role in implementing the dozens of executive orders he has signed since taking office.

Trump noted, “You write a beautiful executive and you sign it, you assume it’s going to be done but it’s not,” adding that it is Musk who works with “100 geniuses” at DOGE to implement them.

The president joked, “He’s got some very brilliant young people working for him that dress much worse than him, actually,” before adding, “They dress in just t-shirts. You wouldn’t know they have 180 IQ.”

“But he gets it done. He’s a leader. He gets it done,” praised the president of his friend.
