LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Fox News host Sean Hannity sharply criticized Vice President Kamala Harris over her intention to do an interview by the end of August, taking a swipe at MSNBC host Rachel Maddow.

Harris, who has recently emerged as the presumptive Democratic nominee following President Joe Biden’s withdrawal from the reelection race and endorsement of her, has not participated in a formal interview since consolidating party support.

Sean Hannity claims Kamala Harris lacks courage to face reporters

Before boarding Air Force Two, Harris told reporters, “I’ve talked to my team. I want us to get an interview scheduled before the end of the month.” However, she did not provide further details.

On his show, Hannity played a clip of Harris’s statement and accused her of avoiding direct questions from the press. He speculated that she would likely only agree to an interview with someone who would not challenge her.

Hannity said, “The vice president anxiously walked toward her doting fans and the media mob for a little over a minute and, wow, without any help from a teleprompter, and somehow she managed to talk ever so briefly to the state-run, Pravda media mob. That was only the second time since her coronation that Kamala actually summoned a little courage to speak off script and the very first time she has answered any questions about her campaign. Don’t expect to see much from the vice president’s off script moving forward. Kamala said she might participate in one sit-down interview. Sometime before the end of the month. Probably with the conspiracy theorist Rachel Maddow. If we’re lucky.”

Hannity concluded by questioning the need for such a lengthy preparation period, stating, “So let’s get this straight. She will need a total of seven weeks of preparation for one interview? One press conference? One gaggle? Why not sit down for an entire interview tomorrow? I guess she’s not capable.”

Sean Hannity slammed after he says Kamala Harris 'not capable' of facing media

In response to Sean Hannity’s critique of Vice President Kamala Harris’s planned interview, social media users have expressed a range of reactions.

One user wrote, "That's rich considering how many times Sean Hannity has greased trump off."

Another user commented, "Coming from a lemming for Chump like Hannity, this is hysterical. Your network paid out $787 million for knowingly lying in behalf of Chump.

That’s why he wants a debate on Faux Newz. So he’s in his safe space."

One said, "Those grapes are mighty sour!"

One added, "is SEAN HANNITY really calling anyone else a "conspiracy theorist"

Another user replied, "Racist Hannity doesn't mention that Trump LIED throughout his press "event." That is not the same as answering questions."

Another person added, "Kamala Harris has got bonkers Hannity so scared that he's peeing in his pants."
