NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Seth Meyers fired back at President Donald Trump after he unleashed a scathing Truth Social post slamming the 'Late Night' host as “the least talented person to perform live in the history of television.”

On the Monday, November 3 episode of his show, Meyers hit back with sharp humor, dismantling Trump’s rant point by point while poking fun at his long-standing obsession with late-night comedians.

Seth Meyers tackles Trump's claims point by point

Donald Trump’s latest outburst came over the weekend, accusing Seth Meyers of producing “100% anti-Trump material” that was “PROBABLY ILLEGAL!!!” The Republican leader also bizarrely claimed Meyers talked “endlessly about electric catapults.”

“Seth Meyers of NBC may be the least talented person to ‘perform’ live in the history of television,” Trump wrote. “In fact, he may be the WORST to perform, live or otherwise.”

Meyers began his rebuttal by addressing the catapult claim directly. “I’m not the talk-about-catapult guy. Just ask my friends,” he joked. “Oh, friends are... How would I describe this to you? Okay, so they’re like... They’re like people who enjoy spending time with you, independent of financial and legal favors you can grant them.”

He also mocked Trump’s claim that he hadn’t watched his show “in years,” showing evidence of a January Truth Social post in which Trump had complained about being “stuck watching Marble Mouth Meyers.”

“Stuck?” Meyers said with a smirk. “I find it hard to believe you let other people decide what to put on. Everything about your vibe screams, ‘I call the clicker!’”

The late-night host then pressed Trump to clarify his timeline, saying, “Which is it? You watched me for the first time in years this week, or you watched for the first time in months in January? Do you not remember?”

Meyers went on to say that while Trump is fixated on late-night TV, there are far more pressing issues he should be focused on. “What we should be talking about instead is the government shutdown you’re not solving or the food assistance you refuse to fund,” Meyers pointed out.

“Working families are struggling while you renovate your bathroom and you build your ballroom," Meyers said, before quipping, "And that’s why your approval ratings are in the toilet.”

Longstanding feud between Trump and Seth Meyers

Donald Trump’s feud with Seth Meyers is one of his longest-running battles with late-night hosts. It dates back to the 2011 White House Correspondents’ Dinner, when Meyers roasted Trump, then just a reality TV star, to his face.

“Donald Trump has been saying that he’ll run for president as a Republican,” Meyers said during the event. “Which is surprising, since I just assumed he was running as a joke.”

Trump, visibly furious at the time, later admitted he “didn’t think it was funny.”

Since then, Trump has regularly attacked Meyers, along with Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel, accusing them of spreading “fake news” and harboring political bias.

In September, Trump even celebrated when Kimmel’s show was temporarily pulled off air following FCC scrutiny, writing, “Kimmel has ZERO talent, and worse ratings than even Colbert, if that’s possible.”
